Seems to be two networks not offering the VR headset Voda and Meteor the rest either FREE or discounted.. Not a good move unless it changes http://techbuzzireland.com/2016/02/22/pre-registrations-galore-for-the-samsung-galaxy-s7s7-edge-in-ireland-all-right-here-samsung-galaxy/

    Just back from Carphone Warehouse.

They don't allow preorders on prepay S7/S7 edge phones on any network. Only billpay.

    Bunch of wasters.

it will be the same all round, new customers on billpay will get preference studpid approach by all networks, then again the allocation of devices to each network has a part to play

Must be the worst rolled out pre order incentive ever. No one seems to know what's happening.

Such hassle for sim free phones anyway.

I don't know what Argos are usually like for getting stock of new phones in quickly. First mention of the S6 in the thread last year was in June, 7 weeks after launch. But it would be sim free from them.

Not sure if they will, Amazon seems to have a rebate scheme set up in France with Samsung - given the broad availability in the UK I'd be doubtful to Amazon stocking it with the free VR

I know not final firmware but it looks like they still haven't sorted out the memory management.
About 8 apps can be opened before it starts closing down stuff. Still less than competitors with only 3gb ram.

Will be buying sim free direct from Samsung it seems. Carphone Warehouse obviously don't want my money so they can stick it.

I've pretty much made up my mind, to get the S7 Edge from Samsung UK directly. Works out at about €815. Hopefully it'll be worth it!

clearly not the case with three who limited their free VR to 50 for online pre-orders and 50 for phone pre-orders. so "free" for the 1st 100 only :o

It says 50 each for first 50 bill and first 50 prepay orders are guaranteed one then its first come first served for the rest they have, thats when I read it yesterday when I ordered mine in the morning time

Are you having to use a mail redirect service?

Did they have the option of Irish delivery or was there no issue getting delivery to an address different to the billing one?

UK delivery only. Used Revolut so card is UK anyway.

Anyone else annoyed that we don't get the Snapdragon 820? Would have preferred that SoC personally.

Would cpw not let you preorder? I was going to drive to Enniskillen at the weekend and preorder in store and pay cash.

Surely they can't refuse cash payment up front?

No, called in and they are only allowing bill pay pre orders. For RoI anyway.

Ye it's tough to get sorted with a sim free phone. Did you get the VR set direct from Samsung?
