Can anyone give me an idea of the cost of insuring a stock bull against injury, illness and infertility?

I got a quote of Fbd last summer for a new bull. I'll have to check to see if I still have later it but it was crazy altogether, a few hundred.

Can't remember what we pay exactly off the top of my head but I think it's based on the value of the bull. So the more you paid for the bull the higher the insurance. Our bull cost about €2.5k and I think the insurance is less than €300 with FBD.

The cost to insure your bull is costed at 10% of the insured value; ie insure value of €4000 will cost you €400

What is covered? Injury, infertility, disease? I assume you also have to get vet to certify him first. So that is an extra cost

Bull will be inspected by vet. That's not a problem. Insurance are looking €1000 a year for two Bulls. One cost 5000 and the other 3900. Sounds outrageous
