Sales must be terrible if they're giving an extra 50 off

They seem to be sending out the voucher to people who supported them from the start.

    "Hey there,

We’re writing to you because you have played an incredibly important role in the history of OnePlus. You helped get us to where we are today by sharing an invite for a OnePlus device that was claimed by a friend or acquaintance. You helped spread the word about OnePlus in our early days. You believed in us when we were just a small group of people with a dream, and we won’t forget that.

There’s no way we can ever truly repay you for your support, but we’d like to offer a small token of our appreciation. Upgrade to the OnePlus 2 today, and we’ll give you an additional $50* discount.

Or if you’re already the proud owner of the OnePlus 2, pass the love to your friends and family by sharing this $50* discount with them.

Click the link below to claim your Loyalty Reward. Select the card in your account, add the OnePlus 2 to your cart, and check out. It’s that simple. You have 5 days to claim your loyalty card, then 2 days to buy.

Once again, thanks for helping get the word out about OnePlus. We wouldn’t be where we are today without you.

    Never Settle.

*Or equivalent in your local currency."

I think it's a nice touch to be honest.

so it'll be just 295 euros with free shipping not a bad deal almost the same as the One Plus X now (269euros).

Exact same situation I'm in - I don't think we will have a OP3 in hand before September, but at the same time there is little to get excited about on the OP2 now when moving from OPO. Dual sim is the only advantage I can see at the moment

Does anyone know if the tempered glass screen protector can be bought in Dublin city centre for the OP2? I thought the phone shops around Moore St may sell them. They're on Amazon at the moment, but I was hoping to get one today

    Hi,
I am considering buying the oneplus 2.
What accessories does it come with and what are essential purchases.
Its not clear from their website if it comes with the charger etc. They seem to be selling them separately also.
Secondly why do people buy screen protectors. Is the glass inferior to samsung or motorola? I never needed protectors with them.
    Thanks for the help.

It comes with a plastic screen protector. You'll have to buy a case, headphones and other accessories separately. IMO essential purchases are a good case (I have a Diztronic TPU case) and a tempered glass screen protector, if you headphones you should always buy those separately to the phone anyway as most headphones bundled with phones are a bit crap.

It comes with a socket charger and type-C USB data cable.

IIRC there's Gorilla Glass 3 on the OnePlus 2 but I buy a tempered glass screen protector for that added level of protection. I gave my brother my old OnePlus One, he drops it, thinks the screen is shattered but the tempered glass took the full hit, not a scratch on the screen proper. I'd much rather replace a €10 tempered glass screen protector than shell out €100+ for a new screen.

Any vouchers floating about? would be great if someone had and could send me on one.

A friend of mine just got his about 2 weeks ago and has had a freezing problem with it, it will freeze now and again for about 15/20 minutes, he cant even restart it when it happens, literally cant do anything with it, it just un-freezes itself.

    Anyone else experiencing this problem?

Got a Oneplus 2, pretty happy with it, but noticed today that on 2 separate occasions the signal went and I got a message saying 'Emergency calls only'. Has anyone else experienced this issue? It resolves on restarting the phone but I don't want to think of it as a possibility. I'm with 3.

The problem is with 3. I had the same problem even on my S3. They've had really shoddy network coverage recently due to sharing the network with others amongst other issues.

Ok so I've had the OP2 since the start now basically and all is pretty much well and good. Odd few times I have to reboot the phone when it has begun freeing lately and battery life is poor I have to say but overall still a lot happier I got this than paying twice the price for same stuff - less in some cases.
So are there any better OS/LAunchers that i should use say like Nova Launcher or something?

Also the Project Manager on my site in London has just bought one and knows I have one too so I offered to help him set it up etc. but his has a massive freezing problem. Straight out of the box it is extremely laggy and keeps saying "Oneplus launcher isn't responding" on the screen then select cancel or OK. Either option freezes the phone. There's a few other issues with it too but this is the most concerning.
I need to keep this man on side lads so has anyone any suggestions for this? I reckon full factory reset and then different OS or something but I wouldn't know what to be at after the factory reset!

    Cheers
