My god damned pad still hasn't arrived but I'm enjoying the game quite a lot on my old one anyway. V-Reversal is a good mechanic. Spending some metre to get pressure off you is a godsend for a scrub like me.

Does Chun-li seem ridiculously strong to anybody else? :P

Getting loads of matches online here really quickly. Looks like they're getting there with the servers.
Bit of lag at times but mostly good in fairness.
Still getting my ass kicked though. Couple of tight matches but jeez there are some great players out there.

On a side note Fang is terrifying.

It would be better if every player did not pick Ryu, 20 online matches today 17 against Ryu.

    I've had loads of variety.

Cammy, fang, ryu, Ken seem to be the most popular

Liking R Mika. Would also like to play Chun but I actually have no idea how to fight with her!

Servers seem a lot better now, but there's still some awful 5 bar connections sometimes.

Lag here and there but it's definately a LOT better.

    Great to get to play!!!

I'm finding it takes ages to get a ranked match. And I really hope they do something about the load times. they are massive. Brilliant fun though.

Much, much better experience last night.

Still taking a while to find a match, but I do have it set to 5 bars only.

I too was finally able to find some matches last night.

Netcode seems impressive if you have a good connection. I fought a guy in south Korea and it was as good as if he was next door.

Anybody else noticed Birdie's idle animation? He picks his nose and flicks it. It does damage. :p

I'd say 90% of my connections are flawless.

When it's bad, it's BAAAAAD, but I'll take that ratio actually. It's higher than SFIV.

I played a guy from Finland last night and it was if we were teleporting around the screen. Looked hilarious.

But I'd agree 9 times out of 10 I'm having really good connections and they're connecting quickly too.

I'm away till Sunday so won't get another go till then.

    Boooo!!!

Just a warning for anybody using ps3 sticks and controllers. The legacy option on ps4 is great and all but it creates input lag. Sometimes its fine and others you will notice your input not registering at all and other times registering a second late. It's intermittent but go into training mode and you will see it.

I've tried it using a ps3 pad and an old ps3 stick and its noticeable on both. Perhaps not right away but if you play long enough, you will definitely see it. Ps4 equipment seems pretty mandatory.

Have yet to be able to login since buying it yesterday on the PC. Keep getting error 21004, which is a pain. Is there any place that you can look at error codes and their meanings?

QFT. Was in my mates and using his PS3 stick on PS4 ver. and it felt very, very odd. Inputs would drop randomly and felt somewhat laggy. Dropped combos, missed AAs etc, even though the inputs were clean, were just being dropped.

Netcode is decent but as said when it's bad it's atrocious just fought a Ken from Sweden who was hitting his combos while teleporting around.

Am I being stupid or is there no way to save your preferred training room options? As it stands every time I go to training I have to configure the dummy, turn on attack info etc.

Yup. Its usually how forums work. You will always get those that take time out to reply in a helpful way. Will always have the likes of yourself though too. Sure what harm, doesn't it take all sorts. :)

Keep the smack talk replies for established community members please. Be nice to new people. We're trying to grow the IFGC not make it an exclusive club for 1337 3s players only

If you have an issue with someone's post, report it. Thanks!

Finally, quick reminder, we don't really mod Fighting Game board with the same iron fist as the rest of the site, but don't argue mod warnings on thread.

Man I just can't get my head around R.Mika. So many of her normals are so weird. She's hands down my favorite character in the game currently, but I reckon I'm gonna switch to Laura until I'm more comfortable with the game in general.

OK I am so p****d off right now it's unbearable. I'm like a race car in the red. Every match I win, it fails to upload results to the server. But every one I lose, it takes my points no problem. WTF is going on?

Is it rage quitters or are the servers still s***ing themselves or what? I've been robbed of about 10 victories at this stage and it's not on.

I can't be the only one?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,333 ✭✭✭Sairus

afaik the servers aren't causing problems like that, so you could just be having a string of bad luck with rage quitters :/

    Solution: Forget about online points.
Go to an offline casuals session :)

Not everyone can make it to offline sessions.

QoS settings on your router can help a lot.

I got a few pretty bad matches yesterday, quite laggy, and it was mostly guys from UK, some PC, some PS4 ( I'm on PC myself). But the waiting times between matches definitely improved last couple of days.

I can't decide on the character, jumping back and forth. I hate myself when I'm being indecisive :/

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,326 ✭✭✭Zapp Brannigan

Servers are so slow! I'm waiting at least a minute and a half for a match to load up.

I waited 3 mins to load a ranked match, which the guy then rage quitted out of, and then 2 mins back in to training to wait to repeat the process. I really tried to see the positives, but for once I feel like all the overwhelming negative reaction is justified. I'm going to leave it till things improve. Really disappointed. Hopefully it's just birth pangs.
