    Could be worse...

I'm not sure whether to take too much notice of facts like this, unless the players are actually running to these locations.

A tot of traveling and a lot of games can't help for the likes of spurs and city surely.

I'm not at all impressed with Arsenal having to return from Barcelona on Thursday morning and then having to travel to Goodison for a Sat am kick off. The travel distance isn't that great but the recovery time is very little

Rooney injured for our trip to OT...big boost as he seems to always score against us.

I'm not sure It matters what team they field, they always seem to have some sort of psychological advantage over us, or pure luck. But we've beaten them already this season so no reason why we can't do It again.

We won up there in the Cup also last season.
Am pretty happy he wont be playing though. Hopefully their Europa tie is still in the balance next Thursday so he needs to play a strong side.

A win there would be great.

Players like Rooney have a habit of making miraculous recoveries and scoring against us. Wonder if he's injured at all?

I have been watching CL over the past few nights and must say looking at some of the players involved, their talent and creativity it just reminds me how much we are missing Cazorla.

So it got me thinking, is that the reason for our poor form recently? Is it just that we need someone that creative in midfield? Is that even more the reason for the poor form rather than a major weakness in defense? Don't get me wrong, there obviously is a weakness there too, but is Cazorla's absence having a much bigger impact?

Fully agree on that, Without a ball player in the middle we have no control of the games at all. Ramsey should feckin stop running like a headless chicken and instead stay in the middle and try to control the game, yes it's not his game but he's a regular international who should learn to play according to the teams needs (I know he played on the right )

I've said it loads, but I don't think we are missing Cazorla as much as people make out. He was greatly assisted by having Coq alongside him, and another midfielder (Ramsey) on the wing. Even with him playing, our conversion rate on chances was terrible. Let's not forget that while he's been injured, we've also had Coq and Sanchez out for a decent amount of time, who are also two nailed on first team starters.

He would be nice to have back as an option, but I don't think he's missed as much as Coq or Sanchez.

    Teams news for Hull:
Arsène Wenger has revealed the latest team news ahead of Saturday's FA Cup fifth-round tie against Hull City:

    on Laurent Koscielny…

Koscielny is doing well. He has a test this morning and he looks positive.

    on Gabriel…

He is running outside. He is out for Saturday.

    on rotating the squad…

I will, as always, play a team who has a good chance to qualify. The normal squad is involved on Saturday. It is a normal squad and we’ll play a usual strong team.

    on if Elneny could play…

Elneny is fit. He is one of the players who could get a run [out] there. He’s mobile, he’s a very good player. He’s adapting at the moment and I think he’s there now. We’ll certainly see him against Hull. He has a chance to start

great to hear about El Neny certainly going to feature on Saturday at most as a sub.

Kos thank god nothing bad has happened. Gabriel contributed to 2 clean sheets for the past month so im more than happy with that.

Chuba Akpom and Isaac Hayden won't be playing against us at the weekend.

    http://news.arseblog.com/2016/02/no-fa-cup-homecoming-for-akpom-and-hayden

Looks like part of the loan agreement was that they couldn't play against us. Thank god wasn't looking forward to Akpom playing :)

Yeah also excited to see Elneny put in a full 90. Id like to see the team like this :

    Cech/Ospina

    Bellerin--Chambers--Kosc---Monreal

    Elneny---Coquelin

    Walcott
    Iwobi
    Campbell*

    Giroud

Id only like to see Cambell in this weekend if the boss isnt gonna play him on Tuesday against Barca, which i think he should, though im sure ox will get the nod as Arsene is so desperate to make him work in his team. I thought it was a bad option to leave Campbell out, he has done far more to show he is up to first team standard than Ox in my opinion. And i do like the Ox, but when we have someone of Campbells standard playing well regularly, he just adds so much to the game offensively and defensively.

I do wonder though will we see a lot more changes, maybe Flam in for Coquelin and gibbs in for Monreal, giving everyone a rest for Barca.

    Big week boys n girls!

I would expect to see something like this

    Ospina

    Bellerin--Chambers--Mert---Gibbs

    Elneny---Flamini

    Welbeck
    Iwobi
    Campbell*

    Walcott

Thats on the assumption that Giroud will start against Barca.

Koscielny should be rested this weekend imo. Would also love to see Welbeck start but maybe that's asking too much of him seeing as he's only back.

Would like Sanchez to start. He needs to find form, not rest up.

Agree, but that Delli Alli fella should have got a red card for that kick. Can't believe the referee only gave a yellow...

No, only want him red carded in the prem.

    Now come on everyone

    Gimme an 'S'

My wishful thinking is that Fiorentina win 2-1 so Spuds have to work hard in the home game to go through, maybe picking up a few injuries, and a bit of self doubt!

Looks like De Gea got injured tonight in EL. So maybe him and Rooney out for the United game.

    + Fellaini & Darmian

Not sure if any of you read Arseblog, but I thought this was a great piece of insight into Arsenal's tactical changes due to our injuries and other factors. It kind of does really dispel the often used cliche of Arsene not being tactically aware enough, but does add fuel to the "Tayto fire" that he constantly alludes to, in that we are defensively poor, despite having good defenders! Anyway, I thought it was a great read. They can spend the time analysing the game that I don't have the time to!

aye looks like it could be a great time to play man u, confidence must be at an all time low and no one on the team with any really 'vendetta' towards us who might be spurred on, just a load of randomers rueing their transfer decisions!

I think Cazorla is our most important player in many respects. Just crucial and I think Ozil is even more impressive with Cazorla in the side. Cazorla's ability to switch defence to attack for us so simply is hugely underestimated. He will be vital when we get him back.

A lot of Utd fans are saying that LVG will stay until CL is gone. Same as happened with Moyes. Saves them massive amounts in playoffs and also sets a good bar to stop them being reactionary.
