If we could win the champions league I'd nearly take it over going for the premiership.

I agree with you on this. But this year we are a massive long shot for the Champions League. However for the Premiership this is our best chance in years.

Send our strongest team out for the first leg against Barca. If we get spanked send the 2nd team out for the 2nd leg.

And Sherwood, cheating is ok now? Glad he's a Joke and a failure of a manager

Tim Sherwood and Danny Murphy are quite the double act.

"Vardy has every right to run into Monreal and earn his team a peno."

    Five seconds later

"Sanchez waving the imaginary yellow card. We don't like to see that."

Was just about to post this.

    Idiots.

Skipped the foul on Ozil before the penno too.

Drinkwater chops Ramsey with a definite red challenge but they don't like to see Ramsey complaining about it.

    Idiots

Agreed. Have full faith in this team to win against them.

But we'll get absolutely trashed in the away leg :pac:

Credit where credit is due, raneiri extremely gracious in defeat, particularly for a team at the top of the table to lose to their main rival.

Fergie, , mourinho, LVG and even wenger if I'm being honest wouldn't have been as magnanimous in defeat. Can only imagine pelligrini reacting in such a manner

Well Claudio is a class act. Good win today, referee favoured us massively in the second half. Leicester should've had a second penalty & lads seriously the first one was a penalty all day long. If Sanchez did the same as Vardy & didn't get one, I would be livid. Anyway great win, delighted for Welbeck. If we don't go on & win it, I really hope Leicester do, need more people like Claudio in the game. Can only imagine the moaning Wenger would've had if we had lost.

Are you deliberately ignoring the handball which would've given us a penalty, and also the blatant foul in the build up to their penalty?

    No and no.
Monreal didn't initiate the contact.. Vardy did. If you watch the replay it clearly shows that Montreal's foot stamps onto the ground first and then Vardy just runs into him. Here's a clear example - https://streamable.com/9web

At no point is there any contact between Monreal's foot and Vardys. Hell we should have had a free kick before any of it happened for the foul on Ozil.

He completely bought the Peno but to be fair to the ref is was a tough call.

And for the Mahrez peno there wasn't enough contact to give the foul. He barely touched his toe before Mahrez went flying. Its a contact sport at the end of the day.

I can just imagine Wenger telling Ozil and Sanchez they are not playing against barca. They would be out the door in a shot.

These big games are the ones the big players want to play in

What a great result yesterday and I am taking partial credit for it.

I have two Arsenal mugs and one was a lovely one my sis in law gave me sometime ago.
I realised yesterday that I had coffee in it on the day of a few bad results so wasnt taking that chance again and used the other one.

Half way through the second half and obviously still wasnt going so well so I grabbed it and ran outside and smashed it.

    You are all welcome!

Sanchez will have a point to prove against Barca. And Ozil will think Barca have a point to prove against him..

Completely different situations though. Absolutely no pressure on Ranieri. No one expected Leicester to be there and he is just enjoying the ride. Compare that to the pressure Wenger, LVG and Co are put under every week.

Ranierei can afford to be magnanimous. The others don't have that luxury.

No, I won't let it go!

We would be joint top if we hadnt conceded a last minute goal against them a few weeks ago

He's not that sort of player?

Can you imagine the reaction if Flamini had done that?

Haven't beaten them in the last 3, not great reading. Jesus, we'll be playing them at 12.45 Saturday, after a Wednesday night match.

We'll both be playing on Wednesday night and to think that both teams will not travel far (both in London) must be a match made in heaven :P

Arsenal v Swansea and West Ham v Spurs on March 2.

    NLD on March 5 w000p!
