Is that them Stomp Grippy Pads you have there?

    Tks.:)

They are techspec tank grips. They have 3 different ones but i went with the c3 snakeskin ones. They are fairly thick and the reviews are savage. They are also specifically shaped for the fz1 tank

I had them grips on the Sprint, very good they are just be careful where you put them. Most peeps but them a tad high so not effective when on the bike when your knees grips them so lower the better.

Yeah man i was looking at the placement of them. Makes it easy though since they are cut for the bike. They went on perfect.

Think I might go and invest in some of those tank grips that Goodlad bought.
They do look rather nice and the reviews seem to be good.

Have me SBK carbon rear hugger on the way from Portugal as I type this.:)

TBH, the stomp grips are not worth the money over the Techspec ones....

I got a set for the VFR from speedycom - If not in stock, they come from the USA, so can take a while - they are very good at keeping you updated.
For me, I think they make the bike safer in day to day riding & well worth the money

I never had tank grips on any bike and always had the feeling like I was gonna slide off the seat. I genuinely couldn't believe the difference these made instantly. Makes me kinda feel glued to the bike.

Yeah but in fairness alot of peeps DO NOT ride with the knees. They just hold on with the arms and slide around the seat naturally, depends on the style of riding of course and type of bike but when on the twisties deffo knees tight on balls of feet and free the arms and upper body to relax makes a world of difference.

Yeah ive tried to apply that exact approach multiple times but never managed it because I was sliding all over the shop. Will be interesting to see the difference over the next few weeks.

Finally got bar mirror mounts sorted too and just ordered some lovely mirrors that will finish off the upgrades nicely.

Do you wear leathers or textile trousers? Leather slides on the seat much less.

    I'm partial to your abracadabra
I'm raptured by the joy of it all

Put your wallet in your leathers that will stop u sliding the weight of it!!!

Always textiles. I find them a lot more comfortable. Even though they usually have that grippy layer on the inner leg its never enough.
Sorted now with the tank grips though. They are savage.

Was changing the air filter tonight but one of the bolts holding the housing just turns around and won't come out. Some fun will be had at the weekend.
