oil burner back bottom plate fix.

    Cleaning and quick service of a SUPER Q 50/90 FIREBIRD oil burner. Changed jet and gave a good cleaning all around.

    I have the plates off and everything cleaned but i noticed the bottom is a bit shabby, nothing broken or cracked,

    So I got an EASIHEAT superlux gasket sheet 300x300x10. Im going to cut to fit into the bottom of the boiler..

    question is this the right way to go about it and does this make boiler more efficient?

    It should be perfectly fine as long as your fga readings are correct. Don't forget pump pressure and air damper settings are crucial to having it burning SAFE and efficient also.
