Spurs have a very small squad, they'll struggle when the Europa League comes back around.

If they have any sense they'll bail out of it

The ox tried two dodgy passes in the second half in dangerous areas that could have caused trouble

Hah... Now that it's been said, I remember them too. Thought the Ox was quiet today, as was Ramsey, but at least Aaron was defensively sharp I thought.

Think I said it earlier, while Alexis and Ozil were pretty blunt offensively on an individual basis, Alexis was exceptionally well marked, with last minute blocks etc, and Ozil was just shut down very well. Very few team in the EPL have that ability, but Leicester have it in spades. They really are a very good team, and we got the luck with the sending off, which we deserved as the penalty should never have been after the foul on Ozil.

Anyway, a huge 3 points, and you have to feel now that we are right at it now. This is the best chance we've had in years, stating the obvious... Time for a celebratory glass of whiskey or 2!!!

Would Arsenal not be better off to out and out give up against Barca.Wenger send out a second string and tell the players he isn't expecting much from them and just simply fulfil the fixture.

Therefore there would be no waste of energy or blow to morale when they receive an inevitable hiding.

If they actually went out seriously trying to win and get a beating it could cause a devastating blow to the players confidence.

I know it's a terribly defeatist attitude but if you don't try then you can't really lose.

    Wish MOTD was on earlier.

    What a game.

We better beat Spurs in their gaf. All of a sudden we look like we have goals in us.

Absolutely but unless they get a man or two sent off in the first ten minutes of each game then it isn't going to happen.

I see your point, but i think no, we need to give it a go. Not least cos I dearly want someone to beat them.

Tired of hearing about confidence, if we get beaten by Barcelona and then can't pull it together to beat Norwich or whoever, we don't deserve a title.

Anyway, wait till 5 mins before kick off in the first leg and then ask yourself if you want to lose it!

    Next 3 league games:

    Man Utd Away
    Swansea Home
    Spurs Away

    Better beat United. And Spurs.

    And Swansea.

A very defeatist attitude. A game against Barca should serve to sharpen up players. I'd imagine it will be treated as such... We owe these one anyway!

Completely possible arsenal can beat Barcelona in one leg.

We have them home first. Just imagine the backlash if, after scrapping the surcharge for the match, arsenal field a second string side.

We need to try to beat them at home. If we lose by a few goals, then maybe send a weaker side there.

Totally go for it against Barca. We're over the major fatigue part of the year, have nearly everyone back. We need to try and win every game from here. It's all about form now - we may pick up one, maybe two injuries but we'd still have the team to beat anyone. Hit a good rhythm and put together a great run in the PL and we'll take it.

So MOTD didn't think Drinkwater's tackle on Ramsey was a red or did I miss something?? He's a lovely lad and didn't intend to hurt Ramsey etc etc is all I heard......

Tim Sherwood and Danny Murphy are quite the double act.

"Vardy has every right to run into Monreal and earn his team a peno."

    Five seconds later

"Sanchez waving the imaginary yellow card. We don't like to see that."

Ramsey had a bad injury before. At Stoke, apparently.

So, you see, he was angry because he was having flashbacks.

I think I remember the incident in question. That fella wasn't that kind of player either.

Yes, "Ramsey rolling around on the ground then getting straight up. We don't like to see that either"

Does he not realise the poor guy has had his leg snapped once already? Cut him some slack.

With Barca, what type of team would people like to see? I'd like us to try to win it, but also give some players a rest/more game time.

Basically, I'd like Welbeck to get a run out, give a rest to Giroud. Not sure what I'd change in midfield or defence.

    Oh, he realises, alright.

    At Stoke, apparently.

In the Barcelona tie we should and will play our best available 11. It's the knockout stages, why bother playing in the champions league if we don't? It's a very defeatist attitude resting players IMO. I know we are up against it, but it's a great opportunity to test ourselves and gauge where we are at by competing against the best.

God ridiculous punditry on that match of the day. Nothing said about Arsenals good defense on the day for the first 45, no mention that we were doing well enough against a brick wall for the second half. I understand that Leicester have been a great team this season but it doesn't mean every game they play they are perfect.

Girouf the only player getting a real mention, and they already had bad mouthed him a minute before.

Bloody Sherwood. Spiteful little weasel that bloke.

Looking forward to his expert opinion on the Villa.

I agree about champions league, we should take every opportunity to win it against Barca. Maybe give Elneny a shot to rest Ramsey and Cambell also, but Sanchez and ozil have to play. We bought that quality to play at Champions league level and we need to try as hard as possible in Europe. If we beat Barca we have every chance of going a lot further, and we've done it before with worse!

If we could win the champions league I'd nearly take it over going for the premiership.

We'd be joint top now if we weren't robbed of Rambo's perfectly good goal at home to the Pool.

No, I won't let it go!
