It's a huge gamble, this isn't a game to throw a rookie in.

Rambo is a better option by miles. They are going to let us have plenty of the ball and we've got players well able for that game.

We only need one DM against Leicester

I'm just worried about Rambo disappearing up front and losing the ball.

Elneny is obviously raw but he seems to stay put.

Why so? Last time we played them, we had a Flamini/Cazorla midfield.

Personally, because I don't think he will play Elneny, I wouldn't mind seeing:

    Coq-Flamini

    Ramsey-Ozil-Sanchez

    Walcott

This won't happen though. I would only put Walcott in up top because of how he played againt them last time. More likely we will see very close to the Bournemouth lineup, except Coq in for Flamini.

    And we conceded first.

Conceding first tomorrow would be awful.

Last time we conceded first, but we won 5-2.

I have no problem if Leicester score first. We have to attack and win. If we play conservatively and try to hold on to a 1-0 lead, it will end in tears.

We would be better not conceding at all.

We should play "conservatively" tomorrow, they thrive on counter-attacking.

5 teams have scored more goals than us this season, Chelsea have scored just one fewer than us, albeit with an extra game played. Pretty poor stat really.

Really? You think that would help us win?

it would stop us losing anyway. :pac:

I don't know why we should fear them, and I don't know why we should go in with a negative mindset. They showed last week that they can score without counter attacking.

We need to score goals. That doesn't mean throw everyone forward and throw any defensive shape out the window.

They're top of the league. That's why we should "fear" them.

We've been so blunt in attack lately, I'd really rather not get into a "you have a go, we'll have a go" match with them because it's not how to maximise our chances of winning.

Who said it needs to be that type of game? We will have plenty of the ball, we should be trying to score - not trying to not concede.

I wonder if anyone feared us, when we were top of the league?

I hate using "fear" and "respect" in this context, it's a crutch for pundits with little actual insight into the game.

We're playing the team who've been the best in the league so far. Call it "fear" or "respect" or whatever, they've been better than us this season. We should play to win and part of that is maximising our chances to win. To do so given our very poor form I think means not tapping the ball around 30 yards from their goal and leaving a huge area for them to attack when we inevitably give the ball away eventually.

We're playing a team that's top of the league, the fastest in the league and that thrives on space and counter attacking opportunities.

Basically think of how teams played us for years and how defences stop Walcott being effective.

It's nothing to do with fear, it's just basic cop-on. Don't play to their strengths. We have an Ozil and a Sanchez. Keep it tight and let them be the difference.

They've been better than us, except when we beat them....

We are at home, we will have most of the ball. I'm not sure what you think we will do if it's not tapping the ball around 30 yards from their goal. That's what arsenal do.

Last time they played us, they employed a pressing, high-line game. That's why Walcott was effective.

Although Sanchez was the difference last time, he also gives the ball away almost more than anyone in the league, which will be playing into their hands.

I think the biggest factor is how Leicester play today. Will they be content to sit back, or is their confidence so high that they'll have a go?

In fairness to Sanchez, he gives the ball away near their box with everyone behind him. That's not a worry.

So we should not do this vrs their speedy players I guess?

Extremely confident especially if coq starts.

    3-0.

I'm stating the obvious here, but this is a massive match today. If we want to win the title it's a must win. A draw isn't good enough, especially with recent form and that we have to go to Old Trafford in the next match. A defeat and I think that's title over.

I'm extremely confident about today though, I think we will get the win. I'm expecting a few goals in it, for both teams. Obviously there threat is on the counter and set pieces, which outdone Man City last week. Think Giroud will start up top because of that. I'm going for a 3-1 or 3-2 win which should signal our intent for the rest of the season!

For sure. We don't need to play a high line. I just don't want us to go in with a negative mindset. I believe they got 2 goals from set pieces against city.

I want us to go in with the attitude of wanting to win, not an attitude of trying to stop Vardy and Mahrez. If we can beat them by a couple of clear goals, it will knock the wind out of their sails a bit. A 1-0 win to us will do little to knock their confidence, and little to improve ours.

Why is it that whenever someone here says that they're extremely confident, I turn into a bundle of nerves???

Massive game today, in fact, I'd say our entire season could be summed up by the result of this game.

In other news, I've moved flat yesterday, and am now so close to the emirates that there's match day parking restrictions on my road.

    Good read here.

Pretty safe to say, dream result for us is a win and then a draw in the Spurs v City match. A loss is a disaster.

Exactly we went at them at there place and we scored five and could have had a hatful more
