    Camouflaged helmet?

Surely that would scare Clancy? Be like a headless giraffe walking around there.

Wales try scorer was miles offside

Nope. BBC panel are going nuts about it but completely failing to recognise that he was put onside by Roberts and the other chasers. Could argue that he didn't really retreat but that's pretty common. Decision was good imo.

He was ahead of the ball when Roberts touched it. He was offside. TMO missed it too so don't feel too bad.

That was for being within ten metres, different situation. Players often don't really retreat if there's a chaser about to put him on and it's not usually penalised.

This Scottish team are like the Connacht of the 6 nations. If they're all on message they can keep pounding on the Welsh line.

No need for the attitude. He quite clearly wasn't.

Could have been penalised for not retreating, but often players aren't.

What a start to the Scots

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,300 ✭✭✭✭razorblunt

Harsh, James completely flopped over the top of North.

No attitude here. Have a look at it again after the match. When Roberts try's to Knock the ball back Davis is a couple of yards in front of him. The BBC even drew a line to show it, so he quite clearly was.

    Hahahaha Liam

I've just noticed how bow legged he is, legs like a currach.

Probably the nicest put down Liam Liamaí has gotten.

Nice chance for Scotland after a very good scrum.

Jesus Scotland really hate winning big games. Brilliant cover from Taylor though.

    Good try in fairness.

Roberts is just the guy for that - very hard to stop him.

Unless Wales visibly tire that should be that.

    Whatever became of Tim Visser?

    Whatever became of Tim Visser?

When tested at a higher level consistently, they realised he was a more powerful version of Fionn Carr. Found out badly in defence.

    Injured? Hamstring I think.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,300 ✭✭✭✭razorblunt

Yeah he motored on well when Scotland were able to string a few wins together, club teams first noticed he has no interest in tackling and got him turned at every opportunity.

  • Registered Users Posts: 318 ✭✭val_jester

Wales really getting all the calls here. Clancy has been horrible. Great line by Roberts, but anyone of those scrums should have been a Scottish penalty, especially the last one before the try.

At Quins - just coming back from an injury

Ah beautiful try for George North. End of.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,071 ✭✭✭✭wp_rathead

    Great Try by North
Been awhile since I've seen him stretch his legs like that

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,805 ✭✭✭✭Pudsy33

Cowan wanted absolutely none of North there

Superb try but first two efforts to tackle were very poor.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,251 ✭✭✭✭Losty Dublin

A field of dead thistles would have tackled better than the Scottish back line just there.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,652 ✭✭✭✭AbusesToilets

Cracking try there. Wales have to be favorites for the title this year.

Did Carr retire? Never heard of him again after his stint with Leinster.

Converted by Biggar. Glad they only show his head now before he kicks!

Very difficult to stop someone taking the ball with such pace and power at that angle. I'd point the finger at Hardie and possibly Laidlaw. The others never had a chance.

Has had a couple of outings for Connacht this season I think.

Back at Connacht and still using up a squad spot. Confidence was shot by the time he finished at Leinster.

infairness he started the season well for connacht but got injured again and hasn't been seen since...

shame Irish 7's side only started now as he is ideal for that code
