It is a similar squad available to last week, we are still early in the week but we should have everyone available. Of course Rosicky [is out], and Wilshere is not ready. But everyone else should be available
    on Danny Welbeck…

He is doing well, it is a bit early for him maybe but he is now back to full power in training. It is a big possibility [he could be involved against Hull next week]. We gave him one or two days recovery after the under-21 game, but now he is back in full training. He has worked very hard and he is fit.

on Jack Wilshere and Santi Cazorla…
They are back running, they are on a fitness programme now so it means it is not a question of months anymore, it is a question of weeks for them to be back.

So glad to hear about Cazorla, we have missed him more than anybody else, without him we have no control of the game at all.

First quote suggests Santi is back, then hopes dashed :(

Good to have Welbeck back too. Squad needs to be as deep as possible with all the games coming up

I don't think I'm going toi have any nails left after the weekend - that's how big a match it really is.

Hope his fitness will push Walcott too, he's been nothing but a lazy git since his return from the injury...

Couple of months ago we would have thought home game against LCFC would be 3 points in the Bank...I think we'll do it if we get rid of Ramsey/Flamini nexus in the middle.

Save those nails ! Some massive games coming up between now and the end of the season - starting Sunday of course!

Am very surprised to hear Wenger saying that :eek::eek:

If Mert plays at the weekend we are fooked!

Vardy will just play on his shoulder and ball over the top and bang!

It's a tough one imo. He reads the game far better than Koscielny and Gabriel put together but their pace will be seriously needed against Leicesters counter attacking style. I honestly think Koscielny has been ropey lately as well though, had a few shockers the past couple of months and I'm not wholly convinced by his partnership with Gabriel so far.

It's funny, every time this gets mentioned over the last couple of years it doesn't happen. Up against a speedy forward, Mert has no chance goes the theory.

However no one (as far as I saw) predicted this against Costa and it came to pass - so well done Roaster, Vardy is destined not to score against us if Mert plays!

I haven';t been convinced with either pairing for a long time.

I think Mert/Kos's pairing in general is very good, as long as they don't play near the half way line. Gabriel looks a bit edgy and nervous at times.

It'd be great if Wenger would splash out on a word class centre back, somebody like Godin would be ideal. Koscielny and Mert are ageing, probably 2 or 3 seasons left in Koscielny at the top level and even less for Mert. Chambers doesn't look like a lad we can rely on nor does Gabriel.

All wishful thinking of course :D

I fully agree with this. Gabriel does still look a bit dodgy to me.

Vardy won't be a problem if we can stop the supply. Leicester's strength is their ability to make quick, telling passes - especially up front as they get behind defenses. If our midfield can successful close the opposition down - like we did earlier in the season, then I think a Mert/Kos partnership is best. But losing possession in the middle of the pitch, as we attack, will be a nightmare regardless of who's at the back.

Eboue is training with Sunderland and if he proves his fitness may be offered a contract. Be great to see him back...once it's not with us :pac:

Confirmed that we play the MLS All Stars and Chivas in the US this summer

I think they will offer up too much space and Ozil will destroy them

Me too. I think Sanchez will also enjoy playing against Leicester.
Hope Wenger approaches this game positively. We shouldn't allow them settle at all.

Agreed, but really it seems as if this is as difficult as finding the 'perfect' attacking players these days. Look at Otamendi and Mangala over at city, meant to be two greats and they have been hugely unreliable over there. Really impressed with the Gabriel find and hope theres another one about.

For Sunday id like to see kos and gab I think. Gab jus needs to stay on Vardy for the game. I think monreal should be able to contain mahrez a bit but who knows. id like to see Coq back but cant see Wenger chancing someones first 90 back against big opposition, especially when we didn't concede with flamsey there last weekend.

Also, would be interested in seeing a front line of:

    Walcott
    Sanchez---ozil---Campbell--

At some point, have we seen those four together yet? maybe the hard work of the middle three will do enough work to make walcotts contribution negligible but handy as a distraction for the defence. And then sling him at half time and let giroud about. Always think a half each works best for them two anyway.

If Flamini, Ox and mert are all in the starting xI, I wont have high hopes. But hopefully saying that means they will and will all score :pac:

This weekend is going to be huge. I'm not sure people are realising how good these guys are. Not on this thread, but generally speaking, people I talk to in work and friends. Everybody is still saying they'll go and collapse eventually. But ask yourself, if Arsenal was playing at the Etihad this weekend, what are the chances they'd come away with a 3:1 win? If they beat Arsenal here I don't think they can be stopped.

We beat them 5 - 2 at their place. They suit our game. No fears if we approach it right and Wenger picks the right team.

Thats the big 'If'. I thought we might have learned something after all the years of humiliating defeats to United and Chelsea but it would seem we learned nothing. High lines and falling into the same oul traps every time.

First trip to the Emirates this weekend. Practically ****ting myself already. We better not **** this one up.

Rational side of me says this should suit us to a tee. If Ozil has a good day they won't be able to stop us. I actually would prefer Kos and Mert at CB, I think the pace issue with Mert is much less of a liability than his presence is a big plus.

But it works both ways. Arsenal suits them down to a tee, too. Wanting possession, playing high and leaving ourselves open to Vardy against the centre backs. Bellerin and Montreal will want to be on their toes. Kos not so much but Merte...I could just see Vardy leaving him for dead a couple of times. And if it comes to an open match, tit for tat, well, Arsenal have been stuttering a bit while they are in free flow mode.
Not wanting to paint a doomsday picture but Arsenal better be sharp on Sunday.

Massive game for both clubs. If Leicester win they could be 7 points clear having beaten Spurs (A), Stoke, Liverpool, City (A) and Arsenal (A) in their last 6 games! If they do that I think I'll be shouting for Leicester for the rest of the season. I am fearful of them but also confident that on their day Arsenal can handle any team in this league...bar Chelsea!

Everything went well in the 5-2 offensively, that's not been the case recently so an improvement is definitely needed or Leicester will take the piss.

Ramsey had his best game for ages against Bournemouth. Sanchez should be close to his best after 3 games back and Ozil is looking as good as ever. I'd be pretty nervous if I was a Leicester defender this weekend!

Likewise our defenders have plenty to worry about too. High scoring game on the cards ?

    (prob a 0 - 0 draw now)

If this game ends without a goal I will declare my love for Liverpool and any Turd that goes along with it. No chance.
