    The guy everyone thinks was a real hero, but it turns out that it was the other guy all along.

    They also made a western, except the roles were reversed.

    Was this originally a Japanese movie, then made into a spaghetti western?

    I think the journalist is played by a comedian.

    I was thinking Capote but Philip Seymour Hoffman wasn't a comedian.
