Hi, just looking for opinions, I was offered an interview on Tuesday next, but I've already booked Monday off work for an unrelated matter. Would it be viewed poorly if I responded saying that Tuesday is absolutely fine, but that Monday would be preferable as I'm already going to be off work and in the area? I'm really excited about this opportunity and company and don't want to sabotage myself!

Go on Tuesday- don't make yourself stand out for the wrong reasons! Use Monday to rest and prepare so you give your best in the interview. Good luck!

Depending on who informed you, if it's HR for a large company I would certainly politely enquiry if Monday is an option as you will be available and in the area.
HR will normally understand and if they are arranging a lot of interviews for the same position, they will just be given times, dates and a list of applicants, so changing isn't a problem assuming a time is free.
