Fault code F6 on Whirlpool 6th Sense Dishwasher

    Fault code F6 up on dishwasher. Replaced water inlet valve, was OK for 12 months. Now same code up again. Replaced water inlet valve again, water now entering the dishwasher but begins to 'hum' then after 2-3 mins Fault F6 up again. Water in dishwasher, when we reset it is pumped out. Same thing after we reset, or use different cycles??
    Any advice?

    from your fault description sounds very like circulation pump failure, quite common on whirlpool, take off the hose between the pump and heater and see if there is a lot of play in the impellar shaft, if so its goosed.

    Hi Checked that, no play in impellar shaft. Tested the new solonoid valve we fitted, it working OK. Once water in machine, humming sound begins, this is new! then F6 comes up and water pumps out. Have added extra water manually in case not enough water going into machine. Is this circulating pump? great machine usually, but do we add cost of circulating pump to cost of solonoid in the hope that's it??

    Sounds similar to an issue I had with my whirlpool dishwasher, the circulating pump "stalled" as the rotor became magnetised and refused to rotate,
    It was a cheaper type of motor that doesn’t appear to tolerate any resistance to it being allowed to turn freely. Replacing it with a standard type of motor solved the issue.
