Lough Atalia to be tapped as an amenity

The plan commits the Council to prepare a masterplan for Lough Atalia and Renmore Lagoon, “to include the upgrading of the amenity park, walkways, ecological areas and development of water based recreation forming part of a wider coastal path network.”

They must have seen the thread and decided to twart noelogara's plans.

On a more serious note, some good stuff in the plan. If the money is available and the nimbys don't cry foul, it'll result in some great amenities for the city

Delighted. Will mean that it gets a vast improvement. Remember when that area was also the rife with sexual assaults, especially the walkway down behind the huntsman? About time it was improved.

One of the posters suggested exactly the above in the other thread. It's obvious really. It was always a wasted asset. Hopefully this will actually be carried out.
