    Seville
Little alleyways, gorgeous monuments. Small little Tapas bars in every little corner. Great food, great wine. Fantastic.

That reminds me of Logrono, Rioja region, especially Calle Laurel. It's right on the Camino de Santiago and is a lovely place to spend a couple of days.

Florence was incredible. The sights, sounds and food would all have me back there in a heartbeat.

Might have helped that it was the sunniest day of the year when I visited, but maybe it's always sunny there... :p

Salem, Mas. - Visited for Halloween, absolutely incredible. Love New England, would go back in a heartbeat.

Dubrovnik - Great weather, food, culture, beautiful women and great nightlife.

Cancun - Loved the people, great nightlife and the beaches are perfect.

Toronto - Been twice and loved it both times. Very friendly and safe city. Lots to see.

I lived there for 15 years and truly, truly have no more "instances of intercourse" to "donate", but the Houston/New Orleans area and the Cajun territory between them should be on anyone's bucket list from November to May, especially in springtime. THE FOOD. World-class museums. THE FOOD. Wonderful vibrant culture from every part of the world. THE FOOD. All sorts of fun places within an hour's drive. THE FOOD. Did I mention the food?

Buenos Aires, what fun that was, even on a business trip, not just the night life, but the shopping (beautiful leather goods), the people (the local office of the company I was traveling for taught me to drink mate), and the architecture (must see). Even taking the subway across town was fun (even though I don't speak much Spanish). Those who have been there and been stunned by the gorgeousness of the residents need to venture a little farther north to Porto Alegre. Going to the mall there is like being on a Hollywood movie set, and you will eat yourself silly. No better churrascaria, even in BA.

Los Angeles... Meh, spare me, my whole family live out there. I would go back only to visit my mother's grave in Hollywood Cemetery.

La Paz- Once you get over the altitude this city just has so much to offer.

Cagliari- Great food, great people, great beaches

Portland- the beer:D I love Oregon and Portland is the ideal base to explore everything it has to offer.

Toulouse- I lived here for a while so its like a home from home. Seriously underrated city

    Boston
    Rome
    Prague
    Edinburgh

Love the four of them. Have been to Rome and Prague loads of times. Boston only once. I lived in Edinburgh for 6 months many years ago and I'm still in the process of going back!

I'm trying to think of a city I visited and said "I won't be coming back here anyway",

    Belfast maybe, Geneva too.

    Is Milton Keynes a city?

    Everywhere else seemed sound enough

Budapest was very enjoyable and not at all as shifty as I'd have thought beforehand, was only there for 3 days but there was a good vibe about the place, seemed to have character. Didn't scratch the surface with regards going to see things but the castle was very nice and provided a good day for what we did see. The thermal baths probably aren't for everyone but found them to be very relaxing.

Going there in 3 weeks ;)

    There could well be.

There's probably a thread for off topic stuff and all

    Just sayin.

I'm positive that I replied to this thread before, but I can't find it. Oh well:

Toronto is top of my list - loved it. It's like a more civilised New York in some ways. New York is great too, but it can be tiring: New York shouts at you, while Toronto speaks in a normal tone. Only drawback: the weather. I've been there in May when the humidity hit 100%, you were literally inside a cloud (no visibility), and you couldn't do anything without sweating Father Ted in the Lingerie section.

Edinburgh is great, too: I'm originally from that part of the world, and love to visit it, but don't know if I could live there.

I need to visit more places where the weather is consistently great. I've had OK experiences in Malaga, Dubai, Lisbon & Jacksonville, but not enough to make them must-visits.

Barcelona is my kind of town.
The weather is generally gorgeous-or at least it was when I was there for a weekend several years ago. It was mid June, around 25 degrees on average and so hot enough to be comfortable but tempered by an ocean breeze as we stayed down towards the harbour end of La Ramblas. The nightlife was a laugh- plenty of bars and clubs to go to. Food is relatively cheap, as is the drink if you are so inclined. I also remember this one bar (can't remember the name) just off the main thoroughfare that served enormous fishbowls of San Migeal beer for about €4 for a glass holding roughly 2 pints worth.
Also, I loved how you could barter prices with almost every shopkeeper!
Two days was simply not enough time to explore the city so I'd go back in a heartbeat for a longer jaunt.

Prague. I'm going back this year. Stunning architecture, beautiful women, cheap beer, great nightlife.

Krakow. For the same reasons as Prague.

Barcelona. There's such a buzz about this city and there's so much to see. Only negatives are the pick pockets and aggressive hookers.

I just love cities in general so there's very few I wouldn't return to.

London is my favourite though, I just love it. So much to do, so much to see. Love the theatre, love the parks, love the history. I also really love Edinburgh and Bath and return to both as often as possible and would probably choose one of these two to live in if moving to the UK.

Loved my time in Paris, Rome, Berlin and Lisbon too but it's Rome that would draw me back again and again.

I like NYC but wouldn't be in a hurry back to America in general. I think I'd try Boston or Washington if heading that direction again though.

I would love to see Moscow and St Petersburg. They look fascinating, but I'm a bit intimidated by the thought of travelling to Russia on my own.

Fell in love with Budapest. Such a unique culture, the food is so different but just fantastic! Loved the cold winter weather, snow, ice skating. Loved the slightly rough but mostly friendly locals, reminded me of Dubliners. Most beautiful scenic city Ive ever seen, I thought it wouldnt be much to look at before I visited (don't know why..) but turned out to be on par with Paris, London and the other greats in terms of architecture. Amazing nightlife, some of the coolest bars Ive ever been to. The thermal baths was one of the greatest things Ive ever experienced , so surreal and relaxing. Felt like I was on a high.
And to top it all off it was the cheapest european capital that Ive visited so far.
Cant wait to go back during the summer for the sziget festival and experience the city in the summer. Would live there if it wasnt so difficult to learn the language.

Another thing I found about Budapest was that it was surprisingly liberal! I assumed it would be a very conservative country , but my boyfriend and I are openly gay and held hands, kissed in clubs and didnt get any trouble at all(were pushed around on 2 occasions in prague). So yeah..that city just impressed me in every way
I don't think I could recommend the city any more highly. I probably sound like I was hired by the Budapest tourist board at this stage hahaha

Enjoyed Edinburgh immensely. Bordeaux. London. Id say Madrid would be good fun with people my own age, was still enjoyable with my family though just a good bit more low key.

Barcelona. Fantastic city, the weather was great, the old town was beautiful, beach close by, cheap food and drink, all you could ask for! Don't let the negative comments put you off going, just be diligent and smart with your possessions and you be fine.

Prague. A great place to just stroll around and take in the sights and the people. Plenty to do and see and I loved my time there. Great nightlife also.

Lisbon. Probably my favourite city. There's a great feel to it, the people are nice and friendly, well, apart from the drug dealers but a firm no and they leave you alone. The architecture, the weather, beautiful squares, the water, barrio alto, day trip to Sintra, just a fantastic place with plenty to offer.

Porto, Amsterdam, Berlin, Bruges and Paris would be high up on my list as well.
