When I drank it would have been kebabs or a burger or sometimes a fryup.

These days I don't drink so ergo no post-beer grub.

    Interesting typo ;)

Never heard of most of the food mentioned here but now i understand why drinkers get fat ;) Not the drink but the ensuing munchies..;)

    I've never been a post-drinks eater, tbh.

Having said that, the next day I would crawl over broken glass for Tribeca chicken wings.

Is it just me or has their wing portion size gotten smaller?

Pizza with lots of pepperoni and a portion of potatoe wedges or a large chicken breast sandwich meal from supermacs.
The next day I need lots of sugary fizzy drinks.
    Or the cure.

Curry Chips and a Quarter pounder.
    Or
Jumbo batter sausage, large chip, and a chicken breastfeeding.

    I'm starving now.

Strange one there, are you breastfeeding the chicken? Do you breastfeed it, then go all Ozzy Osbourne on it and then eat it?

    So many questions!!!

Unfortunately the local chipper is exactly half way between Wetherspoons and my gaff, thus ensuring that sessions are now a double whammy of an assault on my fitness regime ;)

I used to buy 2 large bags of garlic and cheese chips in the Lobster pot for the walk home.

I miss the lobster pot :(

After beers I just want to sleep. On the times that I'm dragged for a feed after drinking, I've most enjoyed an XL Bacon Double Cheesburger.
But I'd normally reserve the feasting until the next day which would hopefully involve a fry up and a choclate yazoo.

I find if I eat after a session it makes the hangover way worse.

Hangover food on the other hand! Not that fussy really, as long as it's carby, salty, preferably cheesy and served in portions bigger than my head.

The idea of someone using a deep fat fryer after a feed of beer actually gives me nightmares. I do have an irrational fear of them exploding and have never had one but now I'm going to be worrying over the thought of a random boardsies one exploding!

It can be dangerous for sure, I'm not the type to go home and fall asleep on the sofa though.

In saying that though they can be very dangerous if not watched, as the "chip-pan", a friend of mines father nearly burned their house down years ago.
He came home after a few down the local and put on the pan with the oil in it for a few deep fried sausages and fell asleep on the chair in the kitchen.

The buddy was woken up by the smoke alarm, only to find his father in the kitchen frantically waving a Te-towel around trying to get rid of the smoke. Very lucky to be honest.

I don't eat when I'm drinking as it usually makes me want to stop drinking.

I love crisps after drinking. Wouldn't say no to a double cheeseburger either!

While a trip to the chipper is usually the devil's persuasion, you can beat a feed of sandwiches with baked ham and a mug of tea!

This is AFTER beer trout, not during. I'd agree with your point entirely tho!

Buffalo Hunky Dorys, either when you get home after a session or else the day after for the hangover!

When I lived in Germany it was always a kebab. Have yet to try a decent one here though. Big bag of chipper chips smothered in vinegar does the job.

If I'm passing a chipper then a garlic chip and a can of Fanta is always a winner. If I'm already home it's a ham and cheese toasty and a nice cuppa tea!

You can't beat a spice bag

I've never had one but people blab on about them so ya spice bag all the way

I miss that place, I moved away from their delivery area about three years ago. The crispy shredded curry chicken was amazing as hangover food!
