Sanchez is some player with a goal and assist after missing 10 games he is world class without a doubt and would be one of the main guys at barca today only barca were playing the tikka takka stuff when he was there which doesn't suit sanchez direct approach.

Walcott worries me he is not quite at it and being very wasteful in front of goal. Not sure on his future anymore to be honest too many injuries have caught up with him maybe?

Let's pray we stay injury free for rest of season if we don't do it this year we never will with Chelsea and united out of the picture and city without de bruyne now.

So with Rosicky and Wilshere suffering further setbacks after yesterday, surely Wenger has to dip into the market?

He has to but ultimately he wont. Rosicky and Wilshere probably wont play again this year the way their seasons are going. 20 minutes between the two of them for the season is some waste of squad positions.

Hardly, they're not exactly integral to the team and we already bought a central midfielder?

I'm thinking more along the lines of squad numbers than positions. Wenger said that the only way he can sign is if somebody goes. Why not just free up their squad places?

Absolutely. If a player we're planning to get in the Summer is available now then we oshould for it. No point in getting a stop gap.

Rosicky will be gone in the summer anyway.
I love Jack but he's now become a luxury the team cannot afford.
If the medical team see him as a player who can only take so much playing-time then I'd drop him like a hot potato. No time or place for sentiment in football.

One of the main dividing issues of Arsenal fans I think. I'm very proud about how we supported Diaby for years when he would have been put out to pasture by any number of clubs.

We always come across as a club that supports our players. Possibly one of the reasons we can sign the likes of Ozil and Sanchez. Not to mention the likes of Vieira and Henry.

True. It always makes me laugh when supporters criticise the likes of Rvp, Nasri. Clichy, etc etc for not showing loyalty to the club yet can't wait to get rid of players through loss of form or long term injury.

    Loyalty cuts both ways

If there were 3 or 4 players at the same time with injuries that kept them out for a season at a time then you wouldn't think that way.
Loyalty is great but it can have serious costs.
As I said I am one of Jack's biggest fans but sometimes you just have to cut and run.

How long left in his contract. He should certainly be given 1 more season anyway

Delighted with that win yesterday. Elneny started off slowly but grew into the game when he got to grips with the higher tempo of football. Sanchez was incredible as always. Great to see Coquelin back, hopefully he can get up to speed pretty quickly.

Means Akpom and Hayden can't play for them either.

Ha ha. Google Akpom there and first result is a caughtoffside article stating that Spurs are going to swoop for Akpom.

Seems they don't know about the loan. :) great journalism

Not doubting you, but are you certain that was written into the loan deal? I believe it's not always, and sure they aren't premiership anymore, so why would it.

I was wondering that too but read that Akpom said after the Hull match yesterday that he didn't want them to draw Arsenal as he would be ineligible. I assumed that was also the case with Hayden but perhaps not.

Does this rule count in the cup? One time it was at the clubs discretion whether to allow the player to play against the parent club. Bobby Robson kicked up a stink over a Newcastle player scoring against them back in 2004 and the premier league brought it into law afterwards that a player cannot play against the parent

Strange old transfer deadline day. Don't see any way that we would bring anyone in. I think there is a press conference this morning, see what he has to say.

Flying high in the Championship but still one of the nicer draws available, at home to boot. I'm happy with that.

So Wilshere hasn't had this supposed further setback, and should be back at the end of the month.

I don't like how Wenger talks about how he 'would have' been open to one more transfer. Talking in past tense means our business is done.

Highly unlikely Debuchy goes anywhere either.

    Question asked to Martin Keown:
Q: Can you describe John Terry in 3 words?
    A: Adams was better!

Gonna be a slow oul deadline day for us I reckon, been a slow transfer window anyway. Has Wenger dropped any hints about signing/not signing any more bodies?
