In October I changed my tax credit from single to married, I should have got around €30 extra a week but my boss changed my gross wage so that I was still coming out with the same nett wage. What can I do about this ? Thanks for any opinions

No I still got the same take home pay instead of them passing on the increase in tax credits

Call the tax office tomorrow, request that zero tax credits be attributed to your current employer. If he still pays you net you will be due a tax refund when u do you income tax return in '17!

How are your wages laid out are you on a salary basis where your salary is 30k per year for example? Or is it the case you are paid a set amount in your hand every month or week? If it's the later that means your company is picking up all the tax usc and prsi contributions and paying them out in order to give you a set amount and in that case it's ok for you not to see an increase in your take home pay. If you have a salary like 30k that is before tax and all tax prsi usc is paid out of that before you get your salary. In that case you should see an increase in your take home. Hth.

What was your gross before the change? What was it after?
What were your cut off and credits before and after the change.?
