What is the situation on a employer making staff redundant and replacing them with people on CE schemes?

    Thanks

You'd need to give a bit more detail, such as are they doing the exact same job etc.

E.g. CE schemes irrc have people doing twenty hours a week, not a full week.

A person is employed 20 hours per week cleaning a local community hall, does 4 hours per day.

The people in charge say they can afford to employ her to do the job anymore (Ltd Company) and they are going to lay her off and replace her with a CE worker.

The person has only been there 14 months so wont be entitled to any redundancy either.

    Thanks

Aren't CE schemes only available to non profit organisations?

Development companies can be LTD and non profit.

Sorry I was being stupid. Just realised after I posted it's a community hall.
