So if wenger was to get the sack or retire.

here are the following managers i would not mind taking charge:

El Mister, Lucho, Sampaoli, Bielsa, Jemez

They all play some very attractive football and doable to obtain as they aint household names like pep.

    thoughts?

Wenger is a company man. He's not going to be sacked ... ever.
Now if he retired which I can't see happening for years to come then someone will have been picked beforehand.
I never heard of any of those lads either. I would actually prefer an English manager who would bring a bit of grit into the side. By that I mean someone who's already in the Premiership.

So, any rumours around of any signings? This season's Benzema?

    BFS anyone?

I guess Wenger will have a major role in appointing his successor and can't help thinking for that reason it could be another Arsene who moment!

When's the last time an English manager won a top-tier league?

Last year. (I said a manager who's already managing in the Premiership).
I might have phrased it badly.

Are Arsenal able to recall Jenkinson? seems Debuchy is on the way out on loan, who will be Bellerin's backup if he does? Chambers?

    Who? In both cases.

When's the last time a Premier League team hired a Premier League manager and won the league?

    Eh no thanks.
Don't see how being English has anything to do with it myself. If you're looking for grit then Diego Simeone is your man.

We can recall him, but he's crocked. Out for the rest of the season apparently

Yep, Jenko will be back to Arsenal for the rest of the season to carry out his rehab. :D

I will tell you when Wenger is retiring which I don't expect anytime soon.
My choice as i said will be someone already managing in the EPL who won't have to take a lot of time to settle in and who will add a bit of grit.

Sounds like Moyes would be your perfect choice... or maybe big Sam?

No and they will probably be retired before Wenger is ready to leave.

So if wenger were to quit today who would you replace him with?

The lad at Spurs. Plenty of EPL experience and a good footballing philosophy.

Yeah wouldn't mind seeing Pottechino either.
    Diego Simeone anyone?

Simeone would be the dream replacement, a hard case who knows how to play lovely attacking football. He clearly knows how to develop talent over there too, he could do great things with our squad imo.

Atletico isn't exactly an easy job either so it's comparible with Arsenal imo.

Re: Coq. Not sure where it came from but he's back in training and arseblog mentioned a surprise return this weekend.

That's just Burnley though. Next three are Saints, Bornmouth, Leicester.

Win those three and we'd be top again I'd say.

Only problem is I don't think he has any English?

He does what he has to do against big opposition yes, but that's no bad thing. Atletico play lovely stuff usually.

That wee Shaquiri lad with Stoke is a good player. Very busy with a great engine.

    Because our defence is poor.

    Because our defence is poor.

We still should have had enough to beat them.

    Utterly depressing.

Just came on to say why on earth didnt we try and get him. Cheap as chips, he had a great World Cup too a few years back. Terriffic player, technically very gifted, he is a step above the likes of Walcott and Oxlade Chamberlain.
