Has been atrocious since coming back. Had high hopes for him, just seems to be going through the motions now.

He will pop up with a couple of cracking goals every 10 games or so but that doesn't cut it if you want to be title winners. Campbell is a much more complete player than him. Walcott promised so much but what a disappointment he has been. A more ruthless manager and he would be long gone along with a good few others.

Walcott has been poor. He promises more than he delivers. I certainly don't think he should start every match. Wenger should have been looking to replace him IMO for some time now.

If we are not going to play Walcott up front its time to cash in on him. He is absolutely woeful out wide. Usain Bolt would have the same impact as him. First touch is awful and his best dribbling skills comes from his mouth. No vision either. He was pathetic yesterday and has been for some while.

Yeah striker or nothing for me

I still like the thoughts of him up front creating space for Sanchez on the left

And what was he doing for the 1st goal.

Gets in the way of kos and Gabriel.

I want him gone at the end of the season, should have never been given a contract at the club last time.

Utterly useless headless chicken stealing a living from arsenal.

Think Theo would be best used as an impact sub for a while. Give him the last 15-20 minutes up front when defences are tiring. And if he's not happy with that then tough sh1t, his recent performances don't merit a starting place in the team.

Shíte player, I'll be more than happy to see him on his way in the summer.

That sums up my point about our start or lack of start.
Nobody put in a challenge of any merit anywhere on the field for the first 25/30 minutes. We stood off them and admired them and encouraged them to attack us. No pressure on the ball at all.
I cannot understand Wenger's tactics foir this game if there were any.
This clip sums up what was going on and yet Wenger and Bould just sat there and allowed it continue.
Many a manager would have been up on the sideline roaring at them.

Again it's not the losing it's how we lose.

Ramsey did his usual headless chicken performance yesterday. In his head he is Zidane, when in reality he is more Kilbane

Watching live, I thought he was one of our best players. The stats seem to agree (taken from @7amkickoff)
Ramsey had the best overall game for Arsenal: led Arsenal in passes, 58/66; created a chance (for the flim flam man) and was 2nd on the team in final 1/3 passes, 18/23; led Arsenal in dribbles with 4/6; led Arsenal in ball recoveries with 8; led Arsenal in tackles with 5/7; had 2 interceptions; and led Arsenal in fouls suffered (2) and committed (6).

Fabregas was winning all the plaudits but when you compare the two players, Ramsey had an excellent game.

I couldn't bring myself to watch it again, but my thought at the time was why the f*ck was Willian allowed to do that?

Because Coquelin wasn't on the pitch! Flamini and Ramsey running around like a pair of turkeys is no replacement for Santi and Coquelin.

Seriously think Flamini has no business being in this squad, he hasn't been good enough since he came back from AC bar a decent few weeks in 2013. Elneny has to be a better option than him regardless of his experience at the top level.

Flamini worked well with Fabregas and/or the likes of Gilberto in the middle because if he went too far forward which he always does then the other would compensate for it.

However, his roaming is becoming very very costly these times. He gave Willian (an excellent hardworking player who i have great time for tbh) all the space he liked to play a pass up to Costa. He gets caught up the pitch continuously and isnt quick enough to get back. I have nothing against him as a person and in general he puts in a decent effort but he is no longer Arsenal standard.

This times a million. I absolutely agree with you 100%. I don't think we realise how much covering and tracking Santi does and there just seems to be an unbelievable amount of space for opposition to attack in the final third with the absence of Coq.

Now that the anger has subsided (it hasn't and it never will), I can look at the bright side.

Sanchez came back. This means we have the best player in the league again. So all we need to do is get Coquelin back instead of Flamini, and the league is ours.

    I mean it.

In my opinion I thought Ramsey was poor and offered very little during the game. The stats appear to differ but I really dont remember him doing anything of note

Really?? Great news if true. We really miss him. Remember him and Santi bossing it in the city game last year? Against top quality opposition, they were measured aggressive. The polar opposite to the midfield last Sunday afternoon.

Another one of our over rated players. Excellent work rate and will run all day but he is far too wasteful with the ball. A poor mans Ray Parlour.

Think you're all very harsh on Ramsey, and he should really be judged when he gets to play in the middle with a decent partner. When playing with Coq, we know Coq has positional discipline. I'm also sure that if Coq felt Ramsey was leaving him exposed too much, he would let him have it.

Oh top of that, Ramsey is more likely to score than Walcott.

He needs to stop with all the fancy stuff, flicks, trying to play the killer ball 90% of the time etc. Look at Cazorla and Ozil in possession, very rarely they will give the ball away and will hold onto it instead of needlessly conceding possession with silly passes like Ramsey does, instead there clever and wait until the pass is on to play it.

Elneny looks like a good signing.

Poor stuff, not unexpected result, back to reality.

Maybe a bit of an over exaggeration on my part there :pac::pac:

A poor mans Frank Lampard would be more accurate

In my opinion, Ramsey sits somewhere between Cazorla and Sanchez. Cazorla will control the game, but bring you no goals. Sanchez will bring you goals, but gives the ball away more than almost any player in the league.

My real problem is that many people seem to only look at the negative aspects of Ramsey, whereas other players shortcomings are easily forgotten, and only their positives are mentioned. Even more annoying is that he is singled out after that match, when there were plenty of players who played way worse.

Has anyone figured out what our game plan was yesterday or why Giroud was withdrawn for Gabriel? It was strange.

Wenger said he wanted Walcott's pace for the break. There was also a suggestion Giroud wasn't 100%.

Why not sacrifice Campbell? Was a weird one.
