cycling Ireland license term

Hi,

Can someone confirm if the a cycling Ireland license is valid for 12 months from purchase or until 31st Dec of the year purchased? I bought mine in June so wondering if I have to renew In June or now. Disappointed if the latter!

It goes by calendar year.

To be 100% precise, leisure members signing up in the last few months (since the 2016 registrations open, I guess) should get anniversary renewal, per http://www.cyclingireland.ie/cycling-news-item/2016-membership-benefits-and-features/1784

Racing licenses can't be issued in this manner due to having to align with UCI licensing, and existing members have not been offered this option yet either, though per the above link they hope to roll it out further.

Have they started to post out any licences yet race season starts in a few weeks I know you can print out your license but turning up to sign on for a race without your numbers can be a real hassle sometimes
