I don't think either QB had a great night overall. On the Fitzgerald play Palmer was close to getting sacked. What a game though...so many huge moments.

You're right. Neither had a stellar game. Palmer moved his team though more accurately and effectively. If you look at their numbers, Rodgers threw for 261 yards but 100 of those came on two complete roll the dice plays and was 24/44. Great footwork and a huge arm to launch them but not one for the accuracy or subtlety. He was very lucky not to have a pick six against him with an awful interception to Peterson. If you're under pressure and going to underthrow, you don't do it to one of the top 5 cornerbacks in the NFL.

Palmer ended with 349 and 25/41 so definitely a bit more accurate but he has better weapons, undoubtedly especially after Cobb went off. The Fitzgerald pass/break was so good because he nearly got sacked. The pocket collapsed around him, he stepped up, spun out of a near sack and then threw a pass back across the field to make the play.

Best NFL team on the west coast showing their class and making a game of it.

Crazy TD pass from Wilson when he's back-pedaling. 21 unanswered points from Seattle.

So why did that game end with time on the clock?

I didnt see the end, but I presume there was less than 40 seconds left? A team can take up to 40secs to snap the ball,so the Panthers can just walk off if there is under 40secs left.

Yeah, there was 25 seconds on the clock.

    My NFL picks:

    Patriots
    Packers
    Panthers
    Steelers

    Discuss.

I fancy the Chiefs to nick it. Pats are on a serious slide and Cheifs just play very low error football.

Steelers are too screwed with injuries - Brown is definitely out and Roethlisberger's shoulder is ****ed even if he does play.

Cardinals are just a better football team than the Packers.

In essence you're just completely wrong.

    Well I got 2/4 so I wasn't completely wrong. :D

Funny that last week all the away teams won and this week all the home teams won.

Patriots should beat Denver next week based on those two performances.

Wrong sport. The Yankees play baseball not American football :D

I think on behalf of all rugby boardsies, I should take this opportunity to thank Joe Schmidt for his single handed DDoS attack on the site while we waited for his squad announcement...... Saved us all a lot of grief and heartache these last 3 days #thanksjoe

He did a half-arsed job. We'd agreed a contract to have it down til the end of the 6N. Bloody amateurs!

It's getting slower, boards could be in trouble as someone seems to be making it their pet project to bring down
Let's hope it's up and running by the 6N anyway

No, I'm just mentioned in the tweet. That hand writing is far too nice to be mine! I've been meaning to try and find out who it is though....

Argh, the actual process of posting on this forum has become a real 1st-world problem. Aside from anything I post posting twice (even my ego doesn't feel I deserve to have everything repeated in duplicate for the benefit of the forum), it would be almost quicker to pop down to my local An Post (or in my case La Poste Suisse) and mail it in.

    The enthusiasm wanes...

Came into this thread to say the exact same thing. There's about a 20s delay on clicking any link at all on the site at the moment.
