What the hell has happened to Theo and Ox?
Both have had enough games to be leading players now yet they are seriously struggling. I would have Campbell ahead of both of them now. Both seem to be lacking in confidence big time.

Even that's more plausible than Giles's b*****cks! He's the major reason our threat was curtailed greatly today. The reason why Theo, Giroud etc looked toothless. All my opinion of course.

Looking forward to MOTD tonight, saw most of the game today between the gaps of my fingers. So glad we got a point, I hate the Stoke fans. That whole anti-Ramsey thing is appaling. A disgrace! Would have loved him to score a 93rd minute winner.

Not sure who said it today, but it was along the lines of: "they're still upset at women getting the vote". I had a dampness in the nether regions after reading that!!!

Fecking Cygan! Even when it wasn't him I knew it was him!

Just listened back to Gilesy there.

Blaming a player who went off when were winning because we drew in injury time.

Blaming a player who wasn't actually on the pitch for conceding a goal.

    It's bizarre.

I blame Pascal Cygan for us not beating Stoke today.

Have to disagree with you there. Surely Igor Stepanovs is more culpable in all of this? :pac:

Theo won't do well on the wing unless the entire team is set up for him.

    OX disappointing.

Theo cant trap a bag of sand at the moment. Someone needs to have a word with Ox. Perhaps his old man would want to remind him that he is at a big club carrying the family name which tbf to Mark Chamberlain he is very much respected in football.

I dont really use the term often but Theo is a one trick pony, running into space and using his speed is about the height of it. When he's good then he is a game changer but at the moment he looks lost, low on ideas and really not getting involved enough. Remember that run he made a few years back against Liverpool in the champions league, we havent seen that kinda thing or anything similar for ages.
Ox is baffling, he's young yet I know but hes also around the scene long enough to be putting his stamp on things, when was the last time you could say he had any influence on a game? Not for a long long time, he just doesnt seem to be progressing at all and its strange because he has loads of ability

He has all the things you need to be a fantastic player. Pace,Strength,Dribbling and size. Yet his basic footballing ability is so poor which is very worrying. He strugglers with basic passing, defending and shooting, all of which he should have down to a tee training with Arsenal.

I lost count of the number of times he gave the ball away today.
I thought he was going to be an all time great a few years ago.

He seems to have lost most of his pace too.

Their form is worrying but I wouldn't be writing them off just yet

Ox banged in the winner in the Charity Shield against Chelsea.

    Free season pass from me.

I thought he showed signs of improvent today. I think & certainly hope he'll come good.

After having shown such good form that day he has been piss poor since. His whole body language is off. Appears to be in a sulk.

A point is a decent return there. We just have too many creative players out injured. Any team would struggle without Ozil, Sanchez and Cazorla. If we can stay in touch and get them back into the team, together, we have a chance.

All this talk of our away games but we have 9 home games left

    Chelsea
    Southampton
    Leicester
    Swansea
    West Brom
    Walford
    Palace
    Norwich
    Villa

we could easily get 25 points there.

Yeah looking at them fixtures there, we surely have to be aiming for maximum points there? Obviously Chelsea is the tough one on paper, but I wouldn't fear anybody else there. Improve our away form a bit and we could be looking good.

As an outsider I would definitely consider a point away to Stoke as a decent result, especially considering the players you had out injured.

Stoke themselves have a good squad, are playing some fine ball this season and have taken 3 points at home from City, United and Chelsea (no mean feat this season, but still). Liverpool, were lucky to get the 3 points, a brilliant strike from Coutinho late in the game salvaged those points.

Stoke are by no means a safe bet to get any sort of result away to, not only this season, but any.

Hopefully Phil Mitchell is still on the sauce and we can nick a result. biggrin.png

Nice to be able to clearly hear this at the game yesterday.

    We've got Özil
    Mesut Ozil
I just don't think you understand
    He's Arsene Wenger's man
    He's better than Zidane
    We've got Mesut Özil

Quite a storm being kicked up over that chant, stolen straight from West Ham. Of course they stole it from someone else, and so on.

“We’ve got Payet, Dimitri Payet! I just don’t think you understand. He’s Super Slavs man, he’s better than Zidane. We’ve got Dimtri Payet!”

    Ozil sounds much better :D:D

That song the Stoke crowd were singing about Ramsey was disgusting.
    A horrible bunch of neanderthals.
Can't wait for them to be hammered at our place.

If Shawcross and/or Hughes had anything about them they would publicly criticize those chants and say that it's really time for their fanbase to move on.

We already beat them 2-0 in September

Somebody posted earlier that the Stoke fans blame Ramsey on Shawcretin not getting into the England squad because of that tackle, and while that's somewhat believable considering the fan-base, the real reason apparently is that Ramsey refused to accept a letter of apology from Shawcretin... As his prerogative!

The more I think about yesterday, the happier I am to accept the draw as a decent result in the circumstances. I also read a rumour on twitter that Ozil wasn't rested, but that he is leaving the club! Ah twitter, you never cease to amaze me!

Good news confirmed today. Monreal signs until 2019!

    http://news.arseblog.com/2016/01/monreal-signs-new-arsenal-contract/

He's been one of the most consistent performers this season so absolutely delighted he has committed to us especially with the rumours doing the rounds earlier in the season about a couple of Spanish clubs looking at him.
