David Moyes on motd now just in case you haven't enough of this great reign of punditry and insight of recent times

Since moving to Australia a couple of years ago this is the one thing that I really don't miss. Don't have to listen to Sky Sports, BT, BBC etc awful punditry and soap opera bull****. I generally now just watch the matches and don't have to listen to ex pros afraid to criticise their mates who are still playing and have agendas against certain players such as Ozil.

Mark Bosnich and Robbie Slayer are the pundits over here and are surprisingly non biased and call it how it is. Refreshing.

I hate to say it but I think our injury crisis will really come back to bite tomorrow.

I really hope I'm wrong. I feel we have pushed ourselves to the limit over the last 2 months with the injuries.

I look forward to coming here tomorrow after the game and been crucified for this opinion.

I like it. Get the revere psychology in early...

I agree, we'll definitely either lose this or draw it. I'm 1000% sure.

I always go into this game with optimism only for us to concede from Stoke's first attack.

So with that in mind 3-1 Arsenal!

Right everyone, this is it. The day we win at Stoke.

Win today and we're back on top, 3 points ahead of City. That's a pretty good prospect for halfway through a nasty run of 4 matches*

    Welcome Elneny

    Welcome back Alexis

Huge game but we're gonna do it

*I'd bite your hand off for a draw

This is one of those years that we can't use injuries as an excuse, loads of teams have much worse issues than us.

That said, I don't know how accurate physioroom are. Clearly Wilshere isn't the only player who isn't fit to play today.

Oh I agree about other teams having injuries and we cant use it as an excuse.

But I think missing our 2 cms will be our biggest downfall.

Just too big a loss and Liverpool exposed its weakness the other night.

Hope so too. These reports have been happening for the last 4 or 5 weeks tho. Is he still not in full training?

If he not in then we must risk Sanchez and also play elneny

These are critical games get over these and I think we will do it

Dont do it to yourselves, we'll lose today like we always do regardless of who plays. Just think of it as The Empire Strikes Back of our season.

So this time next week Ozil will have a robotic hand and Giroud will be frozen in carbonite and hanging on Sam Allerdyce's wall.

Is it right that we've had two red cards in the league all season, and both of them were in that disgrace at Chelsea?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,382 ✭✭✭✭greendom

Those Ozil not playing rumours are growing stronger on Twitter

    And Shawcross is Bellerin's father.

Is the rumour he got hurt in training yesterday? Thats not good so.

Wouldnt be the worst game to give Ozil a break. A traditional 4-3-3 would suit us best for this match imo. As long as the three has Flamini,El Neny and Ramsey in it and not Arteta.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,783 ✭✭✭emergingstar

    Think we will see

    Arteta/flamini

    With Ramsey in the "10"

    Glup

Hopefully he will have a Vieira-esqe debut rather than a Jose Antonio Reyes one

Was reyes not class for first few games?

Yeah I remember he came on as a sub against city and looked pretty impressive. He looked a real player right up until United ended the unbeaten run.

They're probably thinking of the own goal in his second appearance.

Is there any merit in the idea that missing Ozil today might not be the worst fixture to lose him for provided we have him for Chelsea next week?

I have no doubt Hughes would target him heavily today like Southampton did, crowding him out, physically hammering him. Maybe a bulkier midfield with Ramsey at 10 may work in our favour today? I could be talking absolute dirt but just a thought?

    The Neville twats.

No harm resting Ozil today and avoid getting him kicked around the place, particularly if Sanchez is back.
