    Hi,
I am thinking about purchasing a small soundbar, the reason is : the TV has poor audio and dialog in TV shows/movies is hard to hear at times and I have heard proper sound which is very nice.

My worry is, that the TV is also used by my parents for news/soaps/etc... and they care crap all about bass etc.. my main worry is that once I plug the soundbar in everything will just be cinema loud and they will hate it after 20min. I would just like clear sound but at the same vol. level as I current have. I just want to rock the boat as little as possible for them, but also have decent audio for me. I mainly watch TV dramas ( game of trones, house of cards, etc) some games, the odd movie.

Looking at a sony ht ct80. Any opinions ?

Yeah I'm looking at getting a sound bar myself just out of curiosity really. I already have a pair of Creative T20 speakers which according to Amazon's page have a 18W output.

I too saw the HT-CT80 as being tempting. Best seller on Amazon with good reviews and it's a budget price.

Would anyone be able to tell me if I would see much of a difference between it and the Creative speakers? I know the sound bar is a budget one and people here are no doubt exacting but I would welcome any feedback.

:edit: It's actually too wide for my tv stand so that's that!
