Yes what are you being quoted for? It all depends is it including the bouquets for bride and ladies, buttonholes.

You can do it cheaper but you would have to DIY. Pick your flowers in season ones nothing mad, go to the wholesalers pick up some oasis a box normally costs around €20 pending for dry or real flowers and take it from there. Or as mentioned above maybe the church has a local woman doing the flowers that could set them up for ye, or maybe there is a wedding before ye.

Remember also if ye are getting flowers to bring them along to the venue to save money on flowers there

Definitely don't do it yourself if you have no experience and want to use fresh flowers. You want to be able to enjoy the night before your wedding and have a good time. And with some flowers they'd have to be done on the morning of the wedding. My mother decided that I was going to do the flowers for my sister's wedding and I had to tell her that she was off her rocker. I'll be drinking bubbly and doing my nails, not messing around with oasis and wire.

Any florist will work within your budget. You don't need a lot of flowers. Just something to brighten the place up. I just looked up what we paid for flowers and even though our pew ends cost €12.50 each (I wanted something specific) we didn't pay anywhere close to €700. Shop around. Check out florists who work from home. Give your budget to a bunch of florists and choose the one that gives you the best value (and quality!) for your money.

What are you getting for that price? TBH I see loads of people just saying I got a quote of X, and go completely on price. What size are the bouquets? I've seen lots of bridesmaids with flowergirl sized bouquets! if you're happy with that let your florist know, it'll cut the expense, and the size of the bouquets.

What kind of flowers are in the bouquets? as someone else said, the price of flowers even wholesale is expensive as good florists would never use bad quality flowers for your wedding.

Time is money to any business. If the florist is dropping off and setting up flowers it can take a few hours, longer if there's a funeral or something in the church they have to wait around on to finish. Why not save the delivery charges and have the church flowers picked up by a friend or relative and let them setup the church.

Finally, remember, any business is in business to make a profit, and profits on flowers are actually very small when you take into account the wholesale prices, time and energy to do consultations with brides and then prepare the flowers and make and deliver all the arrangements and bouquets.
