    What a beauty that was.

Interestingly, Eduardo is probably the only player in that clip I'd let near the current team.

Eduardo looks like Chelsea's Costa minus the beard. :pac:

Anyone else think Monreal and/or Özil deserved to get a mention in the Team of the Year? I don't rate Marcelo or Alves highly, was annoyed to see them. You'd need to be a magician to be in that midfield, but I think there's a shout for Mesut replacing Modric.

    From The Times today:

Arsène Wenger close to beating Bayern for wonder kids from Nigeria

Arsène Wenger looks to have stolen a march on other leading clubs in making Arsenal favourites to secure the services of Kelechi Nwakali and Samuel Chukwueze, said to be two of the world’s most talented youngsters.
Bayern Munich were among those looking to sign them but the Frenchman has built a reputation for developing players and seems likely to be able to keep his promise of being busy in the transfer window.
The pair are likely to cost a minimum combined fee of £3 million. Nwakali was the star of the Under-17 World Cup in Chile last November, when he captained Nigeria to victory and was crowned the most valuable player.
The 17-year-old playmaker has been tracked by Manchester City, where his older brother, Chidiebere, plays, and his economic rights are believed to be owned in part by Diamond Football Academy of Umuahia and All Star Junior Academy, of Owerri, where he was developed.
Nwakali and Chukwueze, also from the ASJ Football Academy, were tied on three goals and three assists at the Under-17 World Cup finals. The players and their families are expected to arrive in London to complete a deal this month. They will be handed professional contracts when they turn 18.

Seems to be a reversion to the old policy of buying in the youth talent; that'll be circa £7m we'll have spent on those two, The Jeff, Fortune and Bennacer. Hopefully one of them makes it!

Arsenal are always well represented in online polls.:D

So far Bellerin, Monreal, and Koscielny have been picked..and they all have been excellent this season
Ozil is miles ahead this season - and Usually Champions represent half of the Team of the Year.

    I know i'm getting a head myself. :)

Yeah was looking at it earlier, practically a whole Arsenal defense. Smalling was a suprise and Cech had a shout to get in ahead of De Gea.

Pretty sure we've won that trophy 2 out of the last 3 years.

Rumours of both Rosicky and Sanchez making the bench tomorrow. Don't see it happening myself.

Also seems like Elneny will be done tomorrow.

Goes to show how much we've missed Coquelin, and how well we've done despite this.

Seven games is a tiny sample. If you took out the Southampton game we'd be lower!

I agree we've missed him, but I wouldn't call that anything more than extremely weak evidence.

Bit cheeky but may as well ask... any chance someone would give me a lend of a red membership number to buy a second ticket for Leicester tomorrow? :)

It's like he was going for a wrestling pin attempt! Great goal from Rooney. 2-3

Really looking forward to tonight's game. On paper, with their Arsenal-like injury concerns, we should win this comfortably... But, our mental resolve will be tested... Any sort of win would be huge, but if I'm honest with myself, I see a draw, and I'd take that now! Just hate travelling to Anfield!

See Kroenke is moving his NFL team to LA. Has to pay $500m fee to the league and building a $2bn stadium. That's serious investment. Wonder if that has any impact on Arsenal? I presume not

Another 4 am game. Midnight games really are a pain but wont be complaining if we win. Good results tonight and we could really kick on

I'm a Rams fan, and I'm gutted. LA is a graveyard for NFL teams. Crazy figures being quoted.

Are you not just going back home?

Technically yes, but St.Louis is in my opinions a better home for the team. LA and the NFL just dont seem like a good fit. Was hoping the Raiders would take up the option. LA suits them better.
