Battery dead, worth/able recharging or scrap?

Hi

I must have left the radio on overnight, so anyway the battery was totally dead. I jumped it this morning and left it running 20mins. Turned off and on, and its only barley registering a click.
Is the battery kaput, or will bringing the car out for a spin re-charge it?

To be fare i you left it running for 20 minutes it should have had more than a click when you tried to restart.. Check to see if the battery has a little circle that shows a green dot ..Getting to colder weather is when a battery will show its weakness .Try taking the car a 20 minute drive and see if it puts a good charge in battery , if not its most likely knackered..How old is the battery ..

Best to get it tested properly, if the battery was weak the cold may have finished it off.
Idling for 20 minutes may not do much in terms of charging you really need to have revs on the car to properly charge the battery and even then some cars have a power saving features which affect battery charging.

If it's 4/5 years old or you don't know how old it is just replace it.

Cheers. Yeah, it's been rubbish in the cold this winter, and last winter! I had to jump it once already this year because it just hasnt been able to start the car. I reckon I should try and get a stronger one next time

Its shot if your having issues now since last winter with it and gets weaker in the cold..No need for a stronger on just get the right one for the car..

A completely dead battery with the cold this morning would need more than 20 minutes to recover, a good battery would need 20, so it could be OK with a longer charge if it was the first time. Since its been dodgy since last year it needs replacing.
