p45 (moving to the UK)

I am movng to the UK and have been given a career break from my employer in Ireland. My employer asked for a p45 from all the new starters. My employer says that they don't issue p45's for people on career breaks. Does my UK employer need an Irish P45?

No, get their employer ref and ring HMRC with that and then our NI number once you get it.
