I saw Der Human League in Lepoardstown over the Summer.

Not bad, although I got the feeling they were sick of singing Dont You Want Me Baby for the 1,247th time.

Was saying to a pal, I'd love to see them watching that video today..... I suspect there'd be a certain amount of squirming going on (even more than was going on on stage!)

Anyone staying on for the Genesis docu? I know it's been shown a million times, but they were such a class act, and just so different - I love it.

Ha, The Human League gave a good show in fairness, Heidi ... Phil even gave us a burst of Together in Electric Dreams as an encore.

I am dozing off now to be honest, but the Genesis doc is class ... they are all speaking from the heart with nothing to hide (or to plug).

Just watched 'The Story Of 1981' documentary - good stuff :)

Couldn't be mentioned of course, but MTV launching in '81 also played a major part in the visuals becoming as important as the music, ending the era of Legs & Co :(

And a rare appearance by Jerry Dammers :)

Zoo just couldn't make the same impression. :o:o:o;)

Gone were the days when audience members lived in fear of being crushed by the cameraman.

'Dare' was the big one of course, but the Human League's first two sausagefest albums are good too :)

And Kim Wilde? Still would :D

I can hear a radio news feed in the background

The Son is giving a fine tribute.

    Where's it coming from?

It's in Los Angeles, WM says it's on the Sunset Strip.

Also, I like how the pews in the Church have lots of legroom. Easy to get in and out of without tripping up over everyone else **

** Not a post I ever expected to make on this thread :)

Youtube comments are the dregs of the Internet.

I loved that story about the Swindon Advertiser saying Motorhead's gig was in jeopardy after Lemmy's Death!

    Triple H, from the Wrestling?

    Fair play.

They have all done Lemmy proud tonight. Must have been amazing to have had him as a friend.

Very frustrating at the end ... the audio dropped for most of Dave Grohl's contribution, and then again when it looked like they were going to perform a song.

But lots of good stories that reinforced all the good stories you ever heard about the man, the legend - Lemmy. RIP.
