Reballing service
Anyone know of a company that does reballing of GPUs in Kilkenny or surrounding area? Make that Ireland!

I mean a proper full reball not a reflow.

I,M not a expert ,read on this forum, its possible to do this yourself ,
by taking out motherboard,
cover with foil,except leave card exposed ,
leave in oven for a short time.
alot of older hp laptops had this problem .

AFAIK reballing involves replacing the actual solder rather than a reflow which just melts it.

Yes, that's a reflow not a reball. A reflow might last a few weeks if lucky.

Yeah,
I got just over 2 months out of mine. At least it was a DIY job so I wasn't out of pocket. The repair shop had 'reflow/reball' on the repair quote so no guarantee what they would have done.

I've had a reflow last 8 or 9 months, then 4 months, then 1.

Reballing is a lot more work, a lot of the time I'd suspect if the device is old enough to be out of warranty its old enough to not be economical to reball.

Yes ,i understood,
using the diy method may last a month . a few months .
IF you are going to a shop say i want a full reballing of the card .
IS it worth it when you can buy a new laptop with windows 10 for 250euro in sales in powercity ,harvey norman etc
IF it,s a gaming laptop with a 17inch screen it maybe worth it,
but a laptop with 200meg vram card ,intel graphics card , i doubt it.

Well, after an online submission form, an email and just now a phone call which I was unanswered/hung up on, I would advise nobody to use www.brokensceens.ie.
What a waste of time.

Edit: Finally got through on the mobile. They don't do reballing anymore, just reflow and for €150 I don't think we'll be going down that direction.
