BIK on a company car which i signwritten

I work for a motor dealer and have the use of a company car (for which I pay BIK). The powers that be in our company have now come up with the idea of putting the company logo across the front door of all staff company vehicles. This is causing serious unrest among the staff as they do not want to have company branding on a vehicle which they are using for personal use.

Does anyone know if they can sign write a car (essentially turning it into a 24 hour advertising board) which I or any of my collegues are driving if they are charging us BIK or do they have to do away with our BIK as we would be now driving a vehicle which would have commercial advertising purposes?

The main issue here is to try stop the company sign writing our cars but if they must do it then we would like to know that we do not pay BIK if possible>

    Thank You

Even if a vehicle is signwritten, BIK rules apply and you need to pay BIK for personal use

Plus as the BIK is calculated on the original market value of the car, you won't get any discount for being a mobile advertising hoarding!
