    Hi everyone,

Could somebody please tell me how long does it generally take to receive back emergency tax once you have filled out whatever the appropriate forms are and submitted them?

It will be tax I am claiming back from a 2014 job , I am under the understanding I have 3 years to claim back emergency tax, is this still correct?

Also is there any way of hurrying up the process such as with an emergency or special request type form?

    Thank you in advance.

This time last year I claimed back overpaid wage taxes from four years previous and got a check in about three if I remember correctly.
I did go directly into my local tax and they processed the rebate there and then.

Thanks Catbear, was that in 3 weeks or 3 months that you got paid back in?

I'm guessing it would be a similar time scale for paying back of emergency tax?

sorry, I meant to say three weeks. They've always been pretty quick about rebates.
