From Egyptian news site. He's no Kim Kallstrom but hopefully he'll do a job for us.

Palace’s offer is heavily incentivised and it also contains a break clause that would be triggered in the event of Adebayor breaching any of the club’s disciplinary rules.

    I should bloody think so...:pac:

Kolo Toure now suffering with his hamstring. I don't know who'll be in defence when we'll play them!

    And we have Sanchez back

    We need to take advantage

Has anyone actually seen him play?

A poster here (Ardennes I think) lives in Basel and said he has seen him play but apart from that I'm not too sure!

Liverpool's high energy game tonight was the kind that we struggle with at times. We know they're going to come at us like that, we've got the quality to overcome it but we've not played well since the city game.
However with a few days rest and hopefully Alexis back we should find form again. Three critical league games coming up demand it

With no fit centre backs and "the best player in the league" after doing his hammy I can't see us struggling against them.

Long time since I had looked at Drogba's stats and all the chat had me curious. Apart from the 2 out of his first 8 seasons at Chelsea (where he got 20 in 06/07 and 29 in 09/10) Drogba only managed to get more than ten goals three times and the highest of those three times was only 12! Funny how in my head I remember him as a consistent 20 a season kind of player, probably because most of his goals were against us....god I hated that guy :(

Looks like it's the type of game that Liverpool struggle with aa well

One of Eleny's team mates at Basel has wished him well with his future at Arsenal. Be great if he could even make the bench for Saturday. Time must be running out though.

If we could manage 7/9 in the next 3 games it would be massive

I think we can do it too

Feels like about 6 mths since we've had a game. This always happens when we look good.

Are we on the box at the weekend?

Hang on, it's third round day, isn't it? Deadly, I love 3rd round day MOTD.

We didn't look too great against Newcastle in fairness. I'm glad of the break. It's much needed and is another chance for Sanchez to get back.

Thankfully we avoided the big guns like Sheff Wed , in the FA CUP. :D

Id be fine to see some experimentation on Saturday, resting a few players giving some game time to peopel who may need to step in a fill a position in a few weeks, winning it the last 2 years is plenty. Id be happy if we concentrated on the PL and gave a right go at the CL, Barca are looking a bit leggy and have dropped points recently.

Look how many injuries it caused in the process though....so not so sure

Best result for utd is the draw obviously if we want to keep in touch with Arsenal.

But Liverpool will surely still a have a weakened side by then so would be poor if you didn't beat them IMO

Obviously I want to win the league, but I would really, really love 3 FA cups in a row.

And I want to beat Big Sam, whatever the game. The aul divil.

The last North African player we signed was Morocco's Chamakh. I hope Egypt's Elneny is a huge improvement. COYG

I'm sure they don't call him the Egyptian Busquets for nothing.

    *I totally made that up

With rumours of Aubemeyang, Arsenal could have 2 players going to the African Nations next January!

now I understand Wengers transfer policy ..someones got to pay for that big watch on his hand...

Buy an existing PL striker with a proven goal scoring record in the PL. Arsenal PLC will struggle to sell alot of shirts in an already crowded market.

Buy an non-PL striker from North Africa. Arsenal PLC well potential to sell a **** load of merchandise in a new market.

back to balance sheet football I see . :P
