Retroarch & EmulationStation

    Hi there,

I think discussion of emulation is allowed, if not, my apologies.

I'm currently trying to run retroarch with EmulationStation as the front end on Windows 8.1

Everything is working great, except for my Bluetooth controller. It works to navigate the ES menu but when I launch a game, the input reverts back to the keyboard. Once I press Esc to leave the game, the controller works once again.

Any ideas as to what the issue could be?

    Thanks

    Hi and welcome,

Emulation allowed just no dodgey rom talk.

    What bluetooth controller is it?

The commands used there are Linux based, so while it may be a step in the right direction it wouldn't work EXACTLY in this case.

Does the game work if you unplug the keyboard and launch EmulationStation?

If it doesn't then you just need to configure the Emulators controller settings. :)

    Is Retropie not linux based?

Still unsure which controller he has so hard to know.

Your keyboard idea might work alright.

RetroPIE is yes. But RetroARCH is not.

RetroArch is just a frontend for the libretro which is cross platform.

    Cool thanks for the info.

Looking at dual booting my OSMC RPi so all this fun is ahead.
