This is a couple of years old, so sorry if it's been shared before.

Just came across this (spoof?) RTE news report which is hilarious

Seriously, brilliant! Don't know how she kept a straight face.

'Like cattle they are, smell of ****e off them' is probably my favourite bit :D

Oooh this puts a bit more context to it http://www.irishmirror.ie/whats-on/comedy-news/comedian-eleanor-tiernan-surprised-court-4270783

Comedian Eleanor Tiernan has told how she was surprised when her ‘court reporting’ went viral.

Clips of Eleanor as reporter Ursula McCarthy went viral on the internet as many thought the spoof from RTE show Irish Pictorial Weekly was real.

And Eleanor revealed she is looking forward to doing more of the same soon.

She said: “I thought it was interesting what the branding of television can do – when people saw it on television they knew it was a joke.

“But when you took the branding off it it was very easy to trick people. We are just used to this particular format of news being generated and when you mimic it people can get tricked into believing it.”

    This is pretty good too

    The transcript

The court heard how Mr Bernard Kilkenny, an off duty guard from County Mayo, was in Dublin for the All Ireland Final when the alleged incident occurred. Whilst chatting with friends on Talbot St., he was suddenly struck on the buttocks. Upon turning around, he saw the accused, Robert Montague of Bramstoker Crescent, who he said had adopted a martial arts pose. Mr Montague was heard to say "What are you bleedin' looking at?", but before an answer could be given the accused kicked the plaintiff in the chin, knocking him backwards into a shopping trolley. Mr Montague then pushed the trolley in the direction of Amien st. Upon reaching Connelly Station he removed the cowboy hat the plaintiff was wearing and urinated in it before placing it back on his head.

The plaintiff said of the experience "It frightened the ****e outta me altogether, Lord Jesus". For his part Mr Montague told the court "Dem culchies is always here, all over the place like cattle dey are, smell a ****e off dem."

The case continues. Ursula McCarthy, Dublin District Court for RTE
