Why is it OK to show bare chested men on any time of the day, and not OK to show bare chested ladies? I find that really odd. In the end, both sexes have nipples. So no major surprises here!

I think Irish TV stations have always been laid back with brief nudity on film. Sure, how many times has Titanic been show in the early evening on RTE with Kate Winslet in the nip? Though, I would think Winslet's appearance, in context, was more 'adult' than Barbara Bach's brief bath scene in a war movie.

Whatever the right or wrong, I doubt TV3 have the staff or inclination to check through a film before they broadcast it.

We did Romeo and Juliet for what was then the inter cert, we were shown a film of the play, it included Juliet being topless, the teacher had to leave around that scene for something, so the video was rewinded for a second helping.

While this isn't as good as a pair of ol' knockers Rte did show the movie 'buddy buddy' a few shorts years ago. It's one of Walter matthau and Jack lemon movies.

Anyways, it was shown at around 2pm on a Saturday and one of the funniest lines is where matthau shouts 'you prick!' and goes for Jack lemon.

Rte obviously didn't realise the movie had the swear word and it went uncensored. I reckon they got complaints from granny's. You know yourself.
