You can't get much more consistent than 10 or so titles in 20 years. It's called being consistently successful.

I never said consistently successful- did I?

ask any fan who the most consistent team of the last 20 years in the PL is and they'll answer Manchester United.

    That's conclusive proof

You ignored it a few times, I felt the need to explain further.

We're not in a state of flux - we are quite consistent

Is been consistently not successful not a state of flux?

A state of flux is continuous change, what you describe is unsuccessful

I'll bow to your superior knowledge of the English Language

Anyway this is non Arsenal and more ramblings than anything so I'll end my input here for the threads benefit.

    Happy out

While I don't even agree with your point GayGooner about Arsenal having been more consistent than United over the last 20 years (Arsenal finished 12th in 95 and 5th in 96 btw), the pedantry over consistency is silly. The only consistency that really matters at the top level of football is winning silverware.

94/95 is outside the time period tbf

Let's be honest here any other club he would have been gone years ago

Not a chance. Given the oil money and how it's distorted the competition, he's literally done better than anyone bar Fergie. And look what happened when he left.

Even if so, the point stands. It just seems a strange argument to be trying to make.

He's won trophies in each of the past two seasons.

    Nobody else has. No one.

I know that, the time period suggested was 20 years. If you're talking the last couple of years of course Arsenal have been more consistent and successful than United!

I thought it was consistency over 20 years. I don't have a whole lot more to add anyway so I'll bow out

Yesterday was a complete **** up.

But considering the landscape and recent history, saying Wenger out, even if we don't win the league this year (which we will, cos we're ****in awesome) is folly in the extreme.

Jaysus you lads would all have nervous breakdowns if you supported a team like Villa.

At least you got another game tonight to focus on

I love this thread after a loss.

    Roll on a win tonight.

Bournemouth are a nightmare team for us.

They play counter attacking football very well.

We need to be on our game 100%.

Arsene is a hero to me, and I will defend him with my life. But I have to agree, if he doesn't deliver the league this year (barring a brilliant run by city) then it will be time for him to step down. I want him to go at a time of his choosing though!

Holy sweet Jesus it was as bad almost as the game the other night.

Would you ever give over with these petty arguments GG.

We will get a lot of trouble from Bournemouth tonight. They will be set up to frustrate us and will tackle like tigers.

We have to be able to combat their exuberance and hit them with everything we have, anything else will not result in three points. They are no mugs.

If we perform like we did the other night then we could end up with no points again. Still very angry with the last performance.

Cheers, I figured it might have been. Thankfully I just skipped to last page and missed all the arguing in between.

Have to agree with Gosplan. If Wenger can't win the league this year, I don't see him doing it again. Competition will certainly strengthen during the summer, not sure Arsenal will do enough to keep up. Big chance this year though because everyone is dropping points. Still looks like City to me though unfortunately.
