Nct? Can a brake light be taped?

If there is a small break in brake lens. will nct fail it if it has red insulation tape over it? Or has it got to be a complete lens unit?:confused::confused::confused::confused: thanks

Tape is good, nct only cares about jagged edges or excessive moisture in lamp assembly.

You can get more translucent tape in motor factors especially for this.
