Well done, how did you find it?

Poltava is a city in central Ukraine, most known for the Battle of Poltava in 1709 and victory of Peter I of Russia over the Swedish forces, one of the most important battles of the Great Northern War. It is widely believed to have been the beginning of Sweden's decline as a Great Power, as the Tsardom of Russia took its place as the leading nation of north-eastern Europe.

I had a feeling it was in that general part of the world because of the cars and the architecture. I thought it might be a significant building, maybe a school, museum or library etc. I did lots of google image searching trying to describe the building, ie decorative roof, decorative painting above windows etc. I kept changing search terms between countries around that area and between different building types like schools, museums etc. Eventually, I saw an image of the building, found out where it was and did google street view to make sure.

Is that a location from Inglourious Basterds?

I have no idea! If it is, I don't know about it.

It's not one of the filming locations mentioned on Wikipedia for that film anyway.

Ok, I'll find another picture from the same place and post it up later this evening.

In the meantime, think about the style of the buildings and the fact that the tunnel has big, wooden gates on it. Also, the little sign near the bottom of the photograph that's half hidden behind the grass is a visitor information sign.
