Was parking car up this evening and next thing i know the car was vibrating/shuddering and then the engine light came on.

Im thinking it could be either spark plug of coil pack, just wondering if anyone knows a quick/easy way for me to check this myself

Or if the issue sounds like something other than spark plug/coil pack please let me know

    Cheers :D

    Coil pack most likely
If you can read the engine fault codes it would tell you the cylinder number

Or you could disconnect one at a time.
If the engine runs worse then it's good reconnect it and move on to next cylinder.when you come to faulty coil it will make no difference if connected or not.

This is general info as my car is different

    Just a quick update.

It was indeed a coil misfiring, number 6 as confirmed by my uncles diagnostics machine, so grabbed a second hand one and put it in. Disconnected the battery for 30 mins to reset ecu and when turned back on smooth running and no engine light :D
