it is a minor flaw I know that, but its the small things that will all add up at the end of the season, as long as we keep creating the chances then we are fine but against the top sides especially we need to avail of every chance we get

    That is completely unrealistic

    Reading comprehension a problem?

I said that I can't see Wenger buying in Jan. How is that negative given that he didn't buy a DM in the summer when we needed one and I feel he's unlikely to do so in Jan when we are playing well without Coq?
Waiting to hear how that's negative.
Really? I don't have dyslexia, but thanks for your concern!

You posted your comment right after the game, where everyone else was elated and happy, you threw on the negative jibe. This is a fact, and it's all I'm saying on the matter!

I'm still buzzing after last night, every time I see Theo's goal on SSN, I get a silly feckin grin on my face! Happy Christmas everyone, especially you Tayto! Tis the season and all that!

Yes, I though Cech and Wenger were the best in their category.

Seeing as the rest of you are all at it, I'm going to call you all out.

I think you're all a bunch of sound Arsenal Supporters.

As an Arsenal fan another seat of the pants match watching Arsenal, esp in the second half and esp the last 20 mins. City had some great chances to equalise and if their goal had come a bit earlier Arsenal would have been in trouble. It was a great win for the Gunners but I found some of the aftermath commentary, like the Arsenal can now win the league a bit premature and over the top. A league winning Arsenal would have been able to put the game to bed in the first half by scoring a third or even a fourth, they did have the opportunities. What that showed was they still cannot finish off teams when they should be doing so. It also showed Cambell while a very good player is not the striker that can step into an injured Giroud boots that ppl were saying was the case a few week ago. However the upside is they still have Wilshire and Wellbeck to come back and it appears that will be sooner rather than later. The downside is we have been here before and the outcome was dissapointing. Hopefully Wenger might spend a few bob in the Jan window to strenghten the team for the run in.

On one hand, I can see what you're saying.....on the other hand, this was Man City, probably the strongest overall team in the league. Arsenal did pretty well to close them out, and it was only a bit of brilliance from Toure that brought them back into it.

Of course, we won, which is the main thing. Pointless talking about 'finishing a team off' when it was a good win. When Arsenal lose to other teams in similar circumstances, do we celebrate that they couldn't finish us off because we managed to pull a goal back? If Arsenal don't deserve being called title contenders, then I don't know which team can be?

Don't know who ever thought Campbell could be a striker. For me, he would be best played in the middle of the park, but that's not going to happen anytime soon. Glad he's doing well, definitely proved me wrong.

I disagree somewhat, i think the application, concentration and composure that the team showed last night was outstanding.

City had a couple of decent chances near the end but Arsenal had 3-4 excellent chances to finish the game off, it could have been 4-0 at the 60min mark. They didn't get the 3rd goal but i wouldn't use that fact as a pointer to the lack of 'championship winning mentality' or whatever.

The difference is they used to get swept aside in big games like this, especially in high pressure situations. Last night they cut them open time and again and dictated the pattern of the game. If Toure had not pulled a ridiculous finish out of the bag it would have been a comfortable 2-0 win.

Arsenal played City last night like Ferguson used to play Arsenal constantly towards the end of his time at Utd. Cede possession, be disciplined, work hard and break fast. If it had been a Mourinho team it would dubbed as 'textbook' championship winning stuff.

Utd & City have been beaten twice this calendar year, even Bayern. The team in growing in stature, it's completely different to what it was 18 months ago.

Good to see even after a won at City we still find ways to argue :pac:

Delighted with the win last night should really give confidence to the team and fans it's still very early days but we're right in this and if we can keep momentum up until we get players back we really do have a good chance of taking the title this year.

One thing that is grating one me is people like Carragher sating if we don't win it this year we never will because all the other teams will strengthen and have new managers bull**** like we won't strengthen or new managers always means success.

Or the implying we haven't improved when we have our form against big teams has improved our team work has improved our willingness to keep going has improved that and we have one of the 3 form players in the league in Ozil currently running amuck but yea were still the same team as last year.

    Explain please.
If it that I said I didn't think we'd buy in Jan then how is that negative?
Especially when I said the team played well and Wenger might believe we didn't need anyone.
I think you made a booboo and can't escape from it.
You are usually ok but you were completely wrong last night and now afraid to admit it.

Alot of positives from last night and 2015 in general but I think we need to be open minded about going to the end of the season relying on Flamini, Arteta, even Chambers, Ox, a rusty Wilshere etc in the so crucial middle of the park.
I love Wilshere and Cazorla but one has had a pretty serious injury at 31 with March is the minimal timescale, the other has bags of talent but years of injuries and lack of game time coming into intense second half of the season.
Rosicky at 35 is no longer a go to guy that he has done so well in the past.
I think a midfield signing of significant quality is absolutely necessary considering the above and pray that Wenger can pull it off.

Now that is laughable. I could easily throw it back at you and say you're also not admitting you were negative! Let's just drop it.
