He's talked about Rangers as a "project" since starting, I think he's the kind of guy who likes to set hmself a test and take it from there. He'll see out the season.
The challenge for Rangers is to convince him that he wants to continue the project next year.

This is where the off field stuff might effect you.

Warburton seems to be a good manager, but does he need the hassle of being tied to a club run by convicted crooks?

Mark Warburton ‏@MarkWarburton9 7m7 minutes ago

Both bemused and frustrated by shockingly incorrect stories from certain media outlets. I am going nowhere and no club has approached me
Mark Warburton ‏@MarkWarburton9 4m4 minutes ago

Such stories are incorrect and disrespectful to me, to Rangers and to the supposed interested party which in this case is Fulham. Appalling
Mark Warburton ‏@MarkWarburton9 1m1 minute ago

Why are such stories are released without any sensible investigation? Rangers fans, Rangers as a club and indeed Fulham deserve better

    I'd say that's that.

He's a former city banker - this lot are nothing. ;)

Not that bad, it was just really windy and some plastic from the roof came loose, was fixed pretty fast.

The ground does need to be renovated a bit, but it's not like part of the roof came off so the game had to be postponed ;)

Apparently they fixed the problem by sending a bloke up on the roof to hold it in place. Must've ran out of gaffer tape.

It was obviously the best thing to do while the game was on but don't let that get in the way of a good story

Really? I suppose people will take what they want from these things.

Initially he denies a story, not a move. He then denies an approach has been made by a club so he's going nowhere, if no approach has been made then obviously he's going nowhere.

The club Fulham handmade a statement they are not after him. He has stated many times now he has s job to fiat Rangers so yes I would say that is that. Of course people will keep flogging a dead horse certain parties are very good at that ;)

According to BBC Scotland Rangers have upped his wages and promised him an increased transfer budget. Hardly the actions of a club secure in the knowledge the manager wasn't getting his head turned. Don't his family still live in London?

He has denied that as well it was covered in his tweets. But if the BBC say it well itmust be true. This is the same BBC that said he was going when both he and Fulham had said it was nonsense

No smoke without fire. Remember Delph said his future was at Villa during the summer.

I'd rather trust Warburton than the BBC.

Bloody journo. Why can't they just get an answer and move on ? No wonder printed press is dying with idiots like this penning stuff.

And the club follow that up with
    http://rangers.co.uk/news/headlines/club-statement-56/

FOLLOWING almost a week of speculation Rangers would like to make it absolutely clear that no clubs have been in touch seeking permission to speak with our manager Mark Warburton.

The club cannot prevent speculation but Rangers fans can be assured that Mark’s commitment to the job he has started with Rangers remains total, as he himself has already made clear.

Seems we have Vladislavs Gutkovskis training with the team, a U21 Latvian player.

Based on Youtube he's gonna be a star :D

Good goalscoring record but it's Latvia...
The Latvian U21 international has 34 goals in 51 appearances for Skonto Riga since joining in 2013, with 28 goals in 34 appearances in the Latvian top flight last season.

I'm all for summer football, but who comes up with this crap for a point for the penalty shoot out winner ?

And 2 weeks winter break is a joke in Scotland.

Reports appearing, along with a graphic picture, that Arnold Peralta has been shot dead in Honduras.
    Horrible if true.

Seemingly completely random, nothing said, nothing robbed...

    Tragic :(

Rangers v Morton today should be a win. One change from the last game Miller starts and Clark drops to the bench.

Rangers: Foderingham; Tavernier, Ball, Kiernan, Wallace; Holt, Halliday, Zelalem; Waghorn, Miller, McKay

Subs: Kelly, Wilson, Shiels, Thompson, Oduwa, Clark, Hardie

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,704 ✭✭✭Broxi_Bear_Eire

Miller puts Rangers up with a header from inside the six yard box after a fine free kick from Tavernier

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,704 ✭✭✭Broxi_Bear_Eire

Tavernier scores an own goal and makes it 1-1

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,704 ✭✭✭Broxi_Bear_Eire

McCluskey puts Morton 2-1 up after indecision at the back from Keirnan. To be fair we have been rank rotten to much putty party stuff and no cutting edge.

And Rangers go up the park and some lovely build up play sees Waghorn slam it into the net from inside the box

Didn't see the game due to christmas shopping :pac:

Was it bad, or just unlucky ?

It was bad we overdo the pitty patty stuff to much we need to be much more incisive and out concentration levels need to be much sharper. I peronally am not happy how we defend again to much messing about that is what happened for the og.
