Spark Plug brands - do they matter?

    Considering denso's are a third of the price of Bosch ones, is there any real difference?

    Are you comparing similar plugs and not mixing iridium with normal? I was looking recently and there wasn't that much difference between plug brands for my car, got OEM Denso in the end BTW.

    I always preferred Ngk .But as my motorfactors stock only Denso I use them now.
    I would check the gap in any plug before I fit as the travel history is unknown and they can have damage on them.

    I think Denso are fine, but other less well known brands can be troublesome. I.e they can fail waaay shorter than bosch/champion/ngk denso etc. Worth paying money for peace of mind and not coming back to do a job you shouldn't have to.

    When above branded plugs are only costing 3-4 quid each there really isnt any sane reason to go with some cheaper no name job.

    It racks up fairly lively when you're changing the plugs in your W16 all the same.

    Nothing inspires more confidence when going to buy a 2nd hand Veyron than 16 missmatched , budget brand plugs, all at different stages of their lifespan.:)
