I'm ok but I've had days and days of TA's building up and to make it worse I'm sat in tonight, the Friday before Christmas.

I'll be grand in the morn but the last week has really tried my patience!

You should relax and spoil yourself this evening, have a bath if possible, some nice food (maybe a take away) and a couple of drinks and a Christmas film or something funny. Alternatively you could watch a load of porn and **** vigorously until you fall asleep :D

So I had to deal with two institutions of the State today and this is how it went...

    - I got some forms from A.

    - I had to then go to B to get a form signed & stamped, so I could then bring said form back to A.

    - When I got to B, they told me that they don't supply the form and that A should have already given me the form.

    - So I have to traverse the heavy Christmas traffic back to A and bring this form back to B. Of course A offered no apology for not giving me the form in the first place.

    - When I get back to B with the form, B then informs me that they won't be able to sign it because I had met previous certain criteria.

    - And since B can't sign & stamp the form. B then told me they will post a letter out to me, informing me that they can't sign the form for A.

    - I will then have to bring this letter from B back to A, so A can then acknowledge it and see that B couldn't sign the form for me.

Of course it makes you wonder, since B knew all along how this was going to work our for me. Was printing off this letter there and then beyond the machinations of the State?

Yes this is the complete pile of horseshít I had to endure today. What kind of fúcktards invent this stuff? I've come across some bureaucratic nonsense in my life but this brings it to a new level.

It also brings me back to that old saying - "The English invented bureaucracy, but the Irish mastered it."

The latest crop of clearly non-sporty people claiming that MMA is not a "sport". I'm sorry but two people fighting is the oldest form of sport. (And the fact that they've waited till Conor mcgregor has just achieved the greatest individual sporting achievement in the history of Irish sport to vent their invalid opinions on various media outlets makes it even more annoying)
The usual use of quotation marks around the word sport as demonstrated above is another trivial annoyance.

I don't think it's even possible to select a greatest single individual achievement in Irish sport. Because it's based on nothing more than our own subjective opinion.

But as someone who has practiced several martial arts, I usually don't pay any attention to the opinion of such waffling dipshíts who knock MMA. The men & women involved in MMA are tremendously disciplined athletes, who put in the kind of mental & physical preparation unrivaled in many sports.

Speaking of nonsense in sports, I see the ancient art of wrestling & one of the first Olympic sports. Is now being dropped for the 2020 Olympics. You would have thought that if Golf was being accepted into the games as an Olympic sport in 2016. Then the future of wrestling shouldn't even be in question, but apparently not.

Who has achieved greater in their respective sport? His opponent José was undisputed champ for 10 years and hailed as a p4p great the same cannot be said in the case of any of our great boxing champs, our wonderful line of jockies have never had such defining career wins, our athletes likewise have never defeated such lauded opponents. So who else is there? Our golfers? And remember I said individual sporting achievement so team sports don't count.

Padraig Harrington winning three majors after years of being the bridesmaid and never the bride surely is as good an achievement as McGregor, if not better.

And there's equally as much self-discipline involved in winning a major, and arguably more mental strength required than in any other sport.

Our boxers have not defeated such dominant champs. Harrington's achievements are most definitely a worthy comparison and arguably better but as av stand out individual moment I'd rate mcgregors achievement above it. MMA is a very large sport world wide considering it incorporates such a variety of other sports and just because it could be considered to be not massively popular in Ireland it is pretty massive worldwide. Mcgregor will arguably be our most recognisable sports star for the next few years. Do the same volume of people know who Padraig Harrington is outside of Ireland and the uk?
With regards to jockies as much as I love horse racing the individual is not solely responsible the horse plays a major role also the races we consider to be the best (gold cup, grand national etc.) are not considered to be the best world wide. National hunt racing is concentrated mainly to Ireland and the uk. Flat racing is arguably a more recognisable sport on a world scale.
I know this is a controversial opinion but to label it as laughable without offering any evidence to back it up is quite ignorant. This victory has sent shock waves world wide and the monetary rewards are huge in a global sense aswell, like it or not this is one of the biggest individual achievements in Irish sport

Tony McCoy trumps McGregor in his achievements and has had much worse injuries and continued than McGregor will prob ever have to deal with

Just after waking up from a nap and I got really confused. I came off nights yesterday morning and I'm on days next week. I thought it was 7.30am and that I was late for work. I'm not even working tomorrow. I was very very very confused and disorientated.

Looks like I'll have to take my views too the mma forum. I'm just saddened by the fact that some people will take their views on mma from watching rte documentaries which features young shams saying they like to hurt people instead of appreciating the technicality and skill involved in the sport.
