Random WinXP crashs/lockups

Hard to explain, but my system tends to lock up everynow and again. Dosent seem to be any patern behind it, nor any particular cause. The lockups require a reboot to get out of as CRTL+ALT+DEL do nothing and the mouse is even frozen. Any ideas?

Never happened before. All this started after a full format and reinstall of WinXP
