Myself and herself are considering either of these for February for 3 or 4 days.

    Any advice on either?

Which do you think would be better?

Krakow and Berlin might be some sort of contest, but between Berlin and Warsaw, Berlin. Fantastic city.

It's likely that it'll be extremely cold in both cities in early February, way colder than anywhere in Ireland is likely to be. Bear that in mind when planning sightseeing and the possibility of flight delays/cancellations.

The Park Inn on Alexanderplatz is very central, with interesting views. Get room only - plenty of places to have breakfast nearby. Not a lot of privacy in some rooms bathrooms, which could of course add to the fun.

If you want to go posh, the Pullmann Schweizerhof over near the Zoo is lovely, with incredible breakfasts. Sometimes they have big discounts on booking.com and similar.

Flightwise, always check Aer Lingus. They are often cheaper than Ryanair to Berlin

That's for sure! Glass walls with just a frosted strip around the middle to protect some semblance of modesty when on the pot. :o

Having said that, it's a very good hotel in a really convenient location.

For Berlin, don't discount Ibis hotels,
Ibis Budget Alexanderplatz for 50e a night, similar prices for main stream Ibis hotels around central Berlin.

as for choice, Berlin, every time
